Hotel Paris Prague Overview
Honestly, when I first walked into Hotel Paris Prague, I wasn’t prepared for how stunning it actually is – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how sometimes five-star hotels can feel stuffy or trying too hard? This place hits that sweet spot where luxury feels effortless. The Art Nouveau details are everywhere, from the gorgeous mosaic floors to these intricate ceiling designs that’ll have you craning your neck like a tourist (which, let’s be honest, you probably are).
The location is what really sold me though. You’re literally steps from the Municipal House – I mean, you can practically reach out and touch it from some rooms – and Old Town Square is maybe a three-minute walk if you’re moving slowly. But here’s what most people don’t realize: being this close to the action means you get all the convenience without the chaos. The hotel sits on this quieter stretch where you’re not dealing with the street performers and crowds at all hours, which was honestly a relief after long days exploring. The staff seems to genuinely know Prague too, not just the obvious tourist stuff. When I asked about finding authentic goulash that wasn’t touristy, the concierge sent me to this little place on Nerudova Street that I never would’ve found otherwise.
What really impressed me – and this might sound weird – was how they handle the details. Check-in was smooth without feeling rushed, the rooms have that perfect temperature thing figured out (you know how hotel rooms are either arctic or sweltering?), and the beds are seriously comfortable. I’m usually pretty picky about pillows, but these were just right. The bathrooms are spacious with actual water pressure, which isn’t always a given in historic European buildings. You can tell they’ve renovated thoughtfully without losing the character of the place. Even the breakfast – well, it’s not just your typical hotel buffet situation. They do this mix of Czech specialties and international options that actually tastes fresh, not like it’s been sitting under heat lamps forever. Pro tip: try the traditional Czech pastries, they’re made locally and way better than anything you’ll find at the tourist spots around Wenceslas Square. The only minor thing is that some of the rooms facing the street can get a bit noisy during peak summer months when there’s more foot traffic, but honestly, you’re in the heart of Prague – a little ambient city sound just adds to the atmosphere.

Only one thing that made the difference was the shower in the bathtub which made it very hard for me at 71 years old to climb into the shower and especially even dangerous while getting out with everything very slippery. If there was a walk in shower I would give the hotel an 11 not 10.Patrick from Switzerland – 1 April 2025 (9/10)
It's simply the BEST type of hotel – QUIET! A great night's sleep in a comfortable bed, with no noise from the street no other guests. Even though, based on the breakfast business the hotel was full, it seemd at all other times like we had it to ourselves. Such beautiful art decor and wonderfully appointed rooms. Wonderful location in the centre of Prague, near to the shopping malls and the Smetana Hall. And the quality and friendliness of the staff are really world-class. Would definitely stay here again.
What could be improved: Honestly – nothing… oh wait, in the shower the H tap had cold and vice versa….but that wasn't a problem 🙂Jerrold from United States – 31 March 2025 (9/10)
The property was very well maintained and within a short walking distance of the Old Town Square and other popular attractions. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The included breakfast each morning was fresh and had a variety of options.
