Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Hotel NOIR? The name actually makes sense once you’re standing in that lobby – there’s this moody, sophisticated vibe with dark wood and dramatic lighting that feels intentionally cinematic. It’s tucked right on Legerova, which honestly took me a minute to pronounce correctly, but the location is pretty smart if you know Prague at all.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re genuinely in a sweet spot that most tourists miss. Legerova runs parallel to Wenceslas Square, so you get that central Prague energy without the constant circus of street performers and overpriced tourist traps right outside your window. I mean, you can walk to the main square in maybe eight minutes, but when you want to grab dinner somewhere locals actually eat, you’ve got solid neighborhood spots within a couple blocks. The tram connections are solid too – line 11 stops practically at your doorstep, which saved me from those brutal uphill walks that’ll destroy your feet in other parts of the city.

The rooms themselves feel properly thought out, not just thrown together with generic hotel furniture. There’s attention to that noir aesthetic throughout – rich fabrics, good lighting for actually reading (rare in hotels, honestly), and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re showering in a closet. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s polished and comfortable without trying to be something it’s not. What I appreciated was the genuine quiet at night – Legerova gets some traffic during the day, but it settles down nicely, and the windows do their job. The staff seemed to actually know Prague well too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many hotel people just hand you generic tourist maps and shrug.

Look, a 7.9 rating tells you it’s doing most things right without being perfect, and that matches my experience. The elevator’s a bit slow (welcome to European buildings), and breakfast was decent but not memorable – though there’s a great little bakery called Pekárna just down the street that locals line up at, so honestly I’d skip the hotel breakfast and grab pastries there instead. What really works about NOIR is that it feels like staying in Prague rather than staying in tourist-land Prague, if that makes sense. You’re close enough to hit all the must-sees but far enough from the chaos to actually sleep and think. Plus, if you’re into that after-dark Prague scene, you’re positioned perfectly – the whole Vinohrady district is right there with its wine bars and late-night spots that don’t cater to bachelor parties.

Reviews

  • Lucian from France – 29 April 2023 (8/10)

Very good 4 star hotel, friendly staff, big and clean rooms, excellent breakfast.

What could be improved: Parking not available (too few parking spaces).

  • Alec from United Kingdom – 20 February 2025 (9/10)

Comfortable beds, clean rooms, very helpful staff. Breakfast was fantastic, there was plenty to chose from and the location was perfect.

What could be improved: There was not anything to complain about.

  • Ruvan from South Africa – 14 February 2025 (7/10)

Room was spacious and breakfast was great

What could be improved: Bath lid was broken in our room, took days to get fixed. But they did fix it. I just don't understand how that got past staff.

  • Aleksandr from Finland – 19 November 2024 (7/10)

    Big rooms

What could be improved: We had broken bath so we was unable to use it, climate control didn’t work at all, one bad was totally broken which difficult to sleep
    No shower gel

However staff was friendly and offered to us another room.

  • Romana from Slovakia – 27 October 2024 (8/10)

Everything was great, very comfortable bed

What could be improved: no mini fridge

  • Thomas from United Kingdom – 14 October 2024 (9/10)

lovely little hotel in a great location

What could be improved: Room was a bit hot, but just opened the door onto the courtyard area to let some fresh air in

  • Krystel from Costa Rica – 19 August 2024 (8/10)

    – It has a mini fridge!
    – The hotel is not so close from the old town but it’s close to a metro station (I.P. Pavlova) so it’s easy to get around the city
    – Mini market right next door
    – Good breakfast overall with multiple options
    – Has a working bathtub

What could be improved: – Basically no AC. It actually heats up the room instead of cooling down. We had to open the windows and sleep like that because of how hot it was, but the room was on the Main Street so it was truly difficult to rest from the heat but also because of all the noise. We told this to the staff but they said they couldn’t do anything about it
    – No soap on the basin area
    – Breakfast room was so hot it was almost unbearable

  • Daniel from Czech Republic – 13 August 2024 (7/10)

Modern. The bathroom is very elegant (no shower corner, be careful), location is nice. Breakfast was one of the most interesting and fancy I have tried at a hotel- it was awesome.

What could be improved: Quite noisy – possible to hear other people at the hotel corridors. The water in the sink was not flowing away properly, the big light on the ceiling did not work and very difficult to open the door of the bathroom (only our problem, other rooms did not have such problem).

  • Bell from United Kingdom – 9 August 2024 (9/10)

    Modern design and friendly staff

  • Yulia from United Kingdom – 9 August 2024 (9/10)

Spacious and comfortable room in a beautiful building. The room had the kettle and fridge, which was very important for us. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we ever had: : every morning there were various and different dishes, salads, meets, fruits and very delicious cakes. The staff was friendly and very welcoming.

What could be improved: The air-conditioning wasn't working properly or we just didn'thave time to sort it out…
