Hotel Nerudova 211 Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Nerudova 211? The address says Nerudova 14, but honestly, when you’re walking up that cobblestone hill toward Prague Castle, you’re not really checking house numbers – you’re just trying not to slip on those ancient stones while dodging the tour groups. But then you spot this elegant entrance tucked between the baroque facades, and it actually feels like a discovery rather than just another hotel check-in.
The thing about staying on Nerudova Street is that you’re literally sleeping on one of Prague’s most famous historical routes. I mean, this is the royal coronation path – kings walked right past your front door for centuries. But here’s what the guidebooks don’t tell you: mornings are absolutely magical when the street’s still quiet, maybe around 7 AM before the day-trippers arrive from Wenceslas Square. You can actually hear your footsteps echo off the buildings, and there’s this soft golden light that hits the baroque signs hanging from each house. The hotel staff – and they really know their stuff – mentioned that Nerudova 211 used to be called “At the Two Golden Stars,” which you can still see traces of if you look up at the facade.
What really sold me on this place, though, was how they’ve managed to keep that intimate Prague feeling without sacrificing modern comfort. The rooms have this perfect balance – you’ve got original wooden beams and period details, but the beds are actually comfortable (not always a given in historic European hotels), and the bathrooms work properly. The Wi-Fi’s solid too, which matters if you’re trying to upload those castle photos. Parking’s tricky in Lesser Town – well, it’s tricky everywhere in Prague’s historic center – but they’ll sort you out with options nearby, and honestly, you won’t need a car anyway. Trams 12, 15, and 22 are right down the hill, and you can walk to Charles Bridge in maybe eight minutes. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not just about luxury amenities, it’s about getting Prague right. During summer evenings, you’ll hear classical music drifting up from the castle gardens, and in winter, when there’s snow on those red tile roofs, it’s almost ridiculously picturesque. Just pack comfortable walking shoes – those cobblestones are beautiful but unforgiving.

Hanne from Denmark – 15 April 2024 (10/10)
A truly fantastic hotel with the sweetest and friendliest staff. The staff were incredibly helpful with various requests. The surroundings were beautiful and authentic, and the rooms were the size of 4 regular hotel rooms combined. We will definitely come back and stay here next time we are in Prague.
Master from Israel – 30 March 2025 (10/10)
The breakfast is excellent and varied, the helpful and smiling staff changed every day and everyone, without exception, gets a 10 in service. An amazing service experience, the room is excellent, we will definitely return and recommend.

Best place we stayed in Prague (we stayed at 3 hotels all up), if not many European cities. Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful building and room, and great coffee out front.

Our room exceeded expectations, it was very comfortable & a great combination of modern & historical decor/furnishings.
The hotels licensed café served very good food, just a pity it closed so early.

Hotel Nerudova 211 is an impeccable family-run hotel: from beautiful, spotless, and quiet rooms with cozy beds to an amazing breakfast to a picturesque and very walkable location. The friendly and helpful staff gave fantastic restaurant recommendations, made reservations for us, and had tips on where best to go open-air ice skating. They even mailed our postcards as we ran out of time to bring them to the mailbox. We could not have asked for anything more during our stay (we even got a fresh layer of snow all over Prague and wonderful sunshine in January). Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable stay with our family and friends, you made it a huge success. And yes, the rooms are even more charming in person than in the pictures!
