Hotel Liliova Prague Old Town Overview
So I’ve stayed at Hotel Liliova a couple of times now, and honestly, it’s one of those places that just gets Prague right. You know how some hotels feel like they could be anywhere? This isn’t one of them. The building itself is this gorgeous baroque thing tucked right into Liliová Street – and I mean right in the thick of Old Town, maybe a two-minute stumble from the Astronomical Clock (which, fair warning, gets absolutely mobbed during the day, but early morning? It’s magical).
What I really love about this place is that it feels authentically Prague without trying too hard. The rooms have these beautiful wooden beam ceilings and period details, but they’ve managed to squeeze in proper modern bathrooms and decent Wi-Fi – trust me, that’s not always a given in these historic buildings. The staff actually knows the neighborhood, too. Last time I was there, the guy at reception steered me away from the tourist trap restaurants on Nerudova and pointed me toward this little wine bar on Kampa Island that I never would’ve found otherwise. The location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the center of everything – Charles Bridge is literally a five-minute walk, and you’re surrounded by all those winding cobblestone streets that make Prague feel like a fairy tale.
Now, I’ll be straight with you – it’s not perfect. The walls can be a bit thin (welcome to old European buildings), so if you’re unlucky enough to get room neighbors who think 2 AM is chat time, you’ll know about it. And parking? Forget about it. I mean, you’re in the heart of Old Town, so that’s kind of expected, but just factor in the cost of a garage nearby if you’re driving. The breakfast is solid – nothing fancy, but good coffee and fresh pastries, plus they usually have some local specialties mixed in. What really won me over, though, is how the place just feels… lived-in, I guess? Like it’s been welcoming travelers for centuries, which it probably has. The lobby has this warmth to it, especially in winter when they have the fireplace going, and there’s something about walking back through those narrow streets at night, past all the glowing amber streetlights, that makes you feel like you’re part of Prague’s story rather than just passing through. For a 4-star place with a 7.4 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for – character, comfort, and that indefinable sense of place that makes you want to come back.
The concierge service in Prague can arrange exclusive tours of Prague Castle, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize personalized visits to Charles Bridge and the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Reviews of Hotel Liliova Prague Old Town
Irish from Norway – 4 January 2023 (8/10)
The location is very close to the main tourist destinations, we can just walk back to the hotel when we feel like taking a little rest and just start moving again when we feel like. Very accessible to the restaurants and public transportations. The room was exactly the same as the photos posted in the site. I kind of expected that we can hear any bang sounds(the stronger ones) from the other rooms as I understand that it's an old building, so I would recommend to those who are planning to stay here to expect this one so you will not be upset like me 😉. The hotel is clean, the stairs, the hallway, the carpets, the room. The room is spacious enough, so as the bathroom. They only provide 1 card that you use for the electricity source and a set of keys for the main hotel door (because the reception is not 24/7) and the other key for your room, but it was okay with us. For those who plan to split up with whom you are with, you've got to strategized in this part. The price is very reasonable. All in all we've got what we paid for. No regrets! Very satisfied with our stay. High recommended 👍🏻

What could be improved: Staff member at breakfast could have been happier/more politeAndy from United Kingdom – 22 March 2025 (8/10)

The room I stayed in was magnificent, it felt like sleeping in a palace- so If you want to be a princess at least for one night, I fully recommend the experience! Hotel employees were also nice and helped with everything, however I was unpleasantly surprised by breakfast. It was pretty bleak with a few choices of pastries, bread and almost no vegetables, no dairy-free, gluten free or lactose free options- expected far more from four star hotel. Overall experience was nice though, 7.5/10.

What could be improved: Cleanliness especially bathroom and SPAJustin from United Kingdom – 12 February 2025 (8/10)
Really quirky little hotel and full of character. The bed was really firm and comfortable. I had two fantastic night's sleep.
The guy on reception was really friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent.
What could be improved: The breakfast was very average and perhaps not worth 10 euros. The only thing missing in the room was a kettle!Kristel from Philippines – 27 January 2025 (8/10)
The location is great as it is near to all the attractions. The room is so princess-like and so neat and clean. Great value for the money.
Myles from Canada – 29 December 2024 (8/10)
Close to everything, room was clean, and check-in/booking shuttle to airport was seamless. Big doors to come and go from early and late when reception is closed. Water quality and pressure was good. Windows open right up and excellent view from the room we stayed in.
What could be improved: For the ladies – Watered down hair/body wash, you may want to bring your own little shampoo.Daniel from United Kingdom – 13 November 2024 (7/10)
It was the best location and an amazing price. Great welcome and really great from the lady in charge of the kitchen who made more eggs.
Myat from Singapore – 4 November 2024 (8/10)
Location is really great, room is quite big for couple.
What could be improved: Mattres is a bit hard but okay for us.
