Hotel Libero Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Libero? It’s actually way better than you’d expect from a 3-star place on Plzeňská. I mean, this street isn’t exactly Prague’s glamorous side – it’s more of a working neighborhood with trams clattering by and locals going about their business – but honestly, that’s part of what I loved about staying here. You’re getting real Prague, not the tourist bubble around Old Town Square.
The hotel itself sits in this converted building that feels like someone’s stylish uncle renovated it with actual taste. The lobby’s got this understated thing going on – clean lines, decent coffee that doesn’t taste like dishwater, and staff who seem genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. My room was bigger than I expected, which is saying something because Prague hotels usually treat space like it’s made of gold. The bed was actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many places mess this up), and I slept well despite being a light sleeper. There’s this nice attention to detail – good lighting for reading, enough outlets that you’re not playing musical chairs with your chargers, curtains that actually block out the morning light.
What really works about this location is that you’re connected to everything without being in the thick of tourist chaos. The tram stop is literally right there, and you can get to Wenceslas Square in about 15 minutes, Old Town in maybe 20. But here’s the thing locals know – you’re also close to some genuinely good neighborhood spots. There’s this little Vietnamese place two blocks over that does incredible pho, and a traditional Czech pub around the corner where you’ll actually hear more Czech than English. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which if you’ve ever driven in Prague, you know is basically a miracle. The 8.5 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just works the way it should. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel less like a tourist and more like I was actually visiting Prague rather than just checking it off a list.
The concierge service in Prague can arrange exclusive tours of Prague Castle, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize personalized visits to Charles Bridge and the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Nice stay in Prague – Max from France – 27 June 2025 (10/10)
The room was very nice and calm. Also, plenty of space. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. I had a bicycle with me and they were happy to help me store it in a safe place. Breakfast was pretty basic but had all you need.
What could be improved: I am not a very big fan of self check-in hotels but that's maybe more personal and it actually looks like there is always someone, somewhere, anyways.Exceptional – Voicu from Romania – 27 June 2025 (10/10)
