Here’s what I love about this area — you’re in Prague but not drowning in tourist crowds every time you step outside. Šternberkova is in Smíchov, which means you get that authentic Prague vibe while still being incredibly well-connected to the center. The metro’s close enough that getting to Old Town or Wenceslas Square takes maybe 15 minutes, but when you come back in the evening, you’re in a real neighborhood with local pubs and cafes. Couples especially seem to get this — I mean, there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of the city.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d want from a three-star place that knows what it’s doing. Clean lines, comfortable bed, and — this matters more than you’d think — really good blackout curtains for those summer mornings when Prague’s sun comes up early. The bathroom was compact but functional, with decent water pressure (always a gamble in older European buildings). What struck me was how everything just worked properly — the WiFi, the heating, the little details that can make or break a stay. The thoughtful design choices throughout made the space feel larger and more welcoming than expected.
