Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Hotel King George on Liliová Street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Prague‘s Old Town. This three-star property sits right in the heart of everything — I mean, you’re literally steps from Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. The building itself has that classic Central European charm, tucked into a narrow cobblestone street that feels like stepping back in time. It’s not flashy or over-the-top, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the place that hits you right away.

Location Magic

Honestly, the location here is pretty incredible — couples consistently rate it 9.8 out of 10, and I totally get why. You’re in Malá Strana (Lesser Town), which means you can walk to Prague Castle in about five minutes, and the famous Charles Bridge is practically at your doorstep. What I love is that despite being so central, Liliová Street itself is relatively quiet — you get all the benefits of being in the thick of things without the constant tourist chaos. The narrow medieval streets around here are perfect for evening strolls, and you’ll find some of Prague’s best traditional pubs just around the corner.

The Room Experience

The rooms at Hotel King George are what I’d call “thoughtfully compact” — they’re not huge, but everything feels well-planned and comfortable. Each room has that European efficiency where nothing is wasted, and honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring Prague, you just need a clean, comfortable base. The beds are solid, the bathrooms are modern enough, and the windows often give you glimpses of the historic neighborhood. You know what really works? The soundproofing is actually pretty good, which matters when you’re staying in such a central location.

Morning Fuel

Breakfast here is a proper continental buffet setup that’ll definitely get your day started right. They’ve got the usual European spread — fresh bread, local cheeses, cold cuts, and decent coffee. Nothing revolutionary, but it’s well-executed and filling enough to power you through hours of sightseeing. The breakfast room has a cozy, almost family-run feel to it, and the staff genuinely seems to care about making sure you’re set for the day ahead. I actually found myself looking forward to the morning routine there.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it balances authenticity with comfort — you’re staying in a genuinely historic part of Prague without sacrificing modern conveniences. The 8.2 guest rating reflects exactly what you’d expect: solid three-star comfort in an absolutely unbeatable location. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about wandering back through those medieval streets after dinner, knowing your comfortable room is waiting just steps from all the major sights. It’s the kind of place where the location does most of the heavy lifting, but the hotel itself doesn’t let you down either.

Szuper location in the heart of old town Prague

Location, friendly and helpful staff

What could be improved: Underneath our window, there was an internal terrace and other guest were talking and drinking quite late, their noise was very disturbing

Ok

It was fine - room big, easy access to place at any time in middle of town

What could be improved: WiFi was terrible.
Very noisy at night, all through the night, with people shouting on their way home from a night out. I have to sleep with open window due to allergies.
