Hotel Description
You know what? Hotel Imos caught me completely off guard. I mean, walking up to this place on Za Tratí street, you’re honestly not expecting much – it’s tucked away in this quiet residential area that feels worlds apart from the tourist chaos of Old Town, but that’s actually what makes it work so well.
The thing about this spot is that you’re staying where real Praguers live. I’d wake up to the sound of trams rumbling by (and yes, you’ll hear them, but it’s more comforting than annoying once you get used to it) and see locals heading to work with their coffee and cigarettes. The staff here – they’re genuinely helpful without that forced hospitality thing you get at bigger hotels. Check-in was smooth, and the woman at reception actually drew me a little map showing the best tram connections into the city center. Takes about 20 minutes to get to Wenceslas Square, which honestly beats dealing with the noise and inflated prices of staying right in the thick of things.
The rooms are… well, they’re what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place. Clean, functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The shower had decent pressure (always a gamble in older European buildings), and the bed was actually comfortable – I slept better here than at some 4-star places I’ve stayed. What I really appreciated was the little balcony in my room where I could sit with morning coffee and watch the neighborhood come alive. There’s this authentic Prague life happening right below you that you miss when you’re staying in the tourist bubble. The Wi-Fi worked fine for checking emails and planning the day, though don’t expect to stream movies or anything.
Location-wise, it’s brilliant if you know how to work it. You’re walking distance to some great local pubs and restaurants that don’t have English menus plastered outside – the kind of places where you point at what the table next to you is eating and hope for the best. There’s a decent supermarket nearby if you want to grab snacks or drinks without paying hotel minibar prices. And honestly, being a bit removed from the center means you can actually appreciate coming home after a long day of sightseeing instead of feeling like you’re still in the middle of everything.
The 7.5 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s not going to blow you away with luxury, but it does exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer trip where I wanted to feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary resident. Just don’t expect a concierge or room service – this is more about giving you a comfortable base to explore Prague from, and it does that really well.

Very calm place
Decent place, far from the city centre – David from Canada – 28 March 2025 (7/10)
I liked that my room had a small fridge. Unfortunately, there was no kettle, which is a pretty basic item in most hotel rooms.
Internet was rather spotty on the third floor, and there were very few power outlets. In the first room I got, there were none close to any of the beds, which was annoying. Its good to stay there its cheap and good location. – Pretom from Germany – 3 January 2025 (7/10)
Stuffs are good and they are available all the time.
What could be improved: No separate showers gel available there. TV not working. Wifi connection is poor.Feels like hostel changed to hotel but new furniture and good price. – Roman from Slovakia – 28 November 2024 (7/10)
Comfortable bed, big free parking
What could be improved: Quite far away from downtown, thin walls and curtains don’t eliminate morning light that much.Very good – Jgreaves from United Kingdom – 3 November 2024 (8/10)
It was clean, good room connected. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff.
What could be improved: Could do with a second bedside table. So no complaints.Very good – roelof from Netherlands – 13 October 2024 (8/10)

Great freshly prepared breakfastGenerally good but breakfast was very bad – Vitali from Czech Republic – 6 September 2024 (7/10)
What could be improved: Breakfast was very bad please do not include it in price or improve, otherwise there is no sense to have it
Very good – Tanya from Germany – 27 August 2024 (8/10)
It was very clean. And ok, for one night.
What could be improved: The lady at the reception didn't speak any foreign language. It was very loud until late, because the hotel is near one main street.Superb – Tomasz from United Kingdom – 26 August 2024 (9/10)
Pokój czysty. 5 minut spacerkiem do centrum handlowego.
efficient – Marek from Slovakia – 12 August 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: I like it
