Hotel Henrietta

Capital City of Prague, Czechia
Ke Stírce 1774/42, Prague, 182 00, Czech Republic

Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Hotel Henrietta feels like stepping into someone’s well-curated home rather than a typical three-star hotel. The building itself has that classic Prague charm — you know, the kind where you can tell it’s got stories to tell. It’s tucked away on Ke Stírce street, which honestly took me a minute to pronounce correctly, but the location turned out to be one of those happy accidents where you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the tourist chaos.

The Neighborhood

What I really appreciated about staying here is how it sits in Prague — you’re not right in the thick of Old Town madness, but you’re not stranded either. The area has this residential feel that couples seem to absolutely love (I overheard the front desk mentioning they get tons of positive feedback about the location). There’s something nice about walking back to your hotel through actual neighborhoods instead of dodging selfie sticks every five steps. You’ll find local cafés and shops within walking distance, and honestly, that’s where you get the real Prague experience anyway.

The Room Experience

My room was clean and comfortable — nothing fancy, but everything worked properly, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed. The design leans modern without trying too hard, and there’s decent natural light if you’re someone who needs that morning brightness. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathroom was well-maintained. You’re not getting marble countertops or anything, but for a three-star place, it delivers exactly what you’d expect without any unpleasant surprises.

Breakfast and Practical Stuff

The breakfast setup is pretty solid — they do both continental and buffet options, which gives you some flexibility depending on whether you’re rushing out to catch a tour or taking your time. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind, but there’s enough variety to keep you satisfied. One thing that actually impressed me was the parking situation — they have private parking right at the hotel, which if you’ve ever tried to park in Prague, you’ll know is basically like finding gold. Most places either don’t have it or charge you an arm and a leg for some sketchy spot blocks away.

Why Guests Love It

Here’s the thing about Hotel Henrietta — it’s not trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid, reliable choice that gets the fundamentals right without any pretense. The staff seems genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions, and there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on being good at the basics. For couples especially, this seems to hit the sweet spot of being romantic enough without being overly themed or cheesy. You get a real sense of Prague neighborhood life, decent amenities, and a restaurant scene nearby that locals actually frequent. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need — a comfortable base that lets the city itself be the star of your trip.

Good

A good location and good sized rooms.

What could be improved: Elevator malfunctioned at times and the WiFi signal never reached the room

Good

breakfast, comfy bed, close to tram station

What could be improved: needs a little renovation, pillows too thin, can hear very well through walls/door

Good value for money, nothing special

Comfortable double bed, nice explanation of how to behave at breakfast :) Breakfast was simple, but there was from everything a bit..salamis, cheeses, ham, cornflakes, plain yoghurt, apples, watermelon, bread and rolls, eggs, even some cakes were available.. Quite big room. Good location near tram and subway.
