Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Elite Prague? It’s tucked away on Ostrovni Street in a way that feels completely intentional – like they wanted to avoid the tourist chaos but still keep you ridiculously close to everything that matters. I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the National Theatre, and honestly, that location alone justifies the stay.
The building itself has this interesting mix going on – it’s got enough historical character to feel authentically Prague (you’ll notice it in the lobby’s ceiling details and the way the hallways curve), but they’ve clearly put money into renovating without going overboard. The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully modern – clean lines, good lighting for actually reading, and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re camping. What really impressed me was the attention to sound dampening; Prague can get pretty lively at night, especially during summer, but I slept well even with the windows open. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood too, which is rarer than you’d think – they pointed me toward this little wine bar on Kampa Island that I never would’ve found otherwise.
Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re positioned perfectly for both sides of Prague’s personality. Walk five minutes toward the river and you’re in postcard territory with the Charles Bridge and all that (though honestly, hit it early morning or late evening unless you enjoy human traffic jams). But head the other direction toward Wenceslas Square and you’re in the more working part of the city where locals actually hang out. The tram connections are solid from nearby stops, though I found myself walking most places because everything feels manageable from this spot. One small heads up – parking isn’t included and street parking around here is pretty much a fantasy, but there’s a garage about two blocks away that the hotel can direct you to. For a four-star place, the breakfast situation is better than expected – proper coffee, local pastries that don’t taste like they’ve been sitting around, and they actually have decent options if you’re not into the typical continental spread. At an 8.8 rating, it feels about right – not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, just doing the fundamentals really well in a spot that makes your whole stay easier.

Really close to all the main sites in the city. Also easily accessed by bus and metro from the airport. The bed was comfortable and the self-service breakfast provided plenty of choice. We had to check out early in the morning so asked for breakfast to take-away. What they provided was excellent; drink, fruit, rolls and mixed meats, cheese & salad as well as sweet treats. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The location close to the centre and a couple of supermarkets. The large room and bathroom both extremely clean. The breakfast was also exceptional with a range of fresh fruit and local pastries as well as cooked and continental options. We also liked having a kettle with teas in the room
What could be improved: Only the sporadic noise from the street which meant it was advisable to keep the windows closed at night. Mostly the noise was not an issue after 11.Alexandra from United Kingdom – 26 March 2025 (9/10)
Brilliant stay – can’t recommend enough!! Staff were lovely, great location for the old town, very clean room, and the breakfast was great with a good selection. 😄😄😄

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The character of the hotel had been preserved but at the same time made to be very comfortable. The room was well furnished and equipped with everything we needed. Everything was spotlessly clean and there was very little noise, mainly from the street but not bad for such a central spot. The breakfast was very good and plentiful, with all needs catered for. Can't fault it and will be back if we're ever in Prague again.

What could be improved: My room was smaller than I imagined and I didn't really enjoy the breakfasts
