Hotel CHODOV ASC Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Hotel CHODOV ASC on Mírového Hnutí, I wasn’t expecting much. The area feels pretty residential, sort of removed from the tourist chaos of Old Town, which actually turned out to be exactly what I needed after three days of elbow-to-elbow sightseeing. It’s in that part of Prague where you see actual Czech people going about their daily lives, not just other travelers with cameras around their necks.
The hotel itself is solid three-star territory – nothing fancy, but they know what they’re doing. Check-in was refreshingly quick (the front desk staff actually spoke decent English, which isn’t always a given once you get outside the city center), and my room was clean with that particular Eastern European attention to detail I’ve come to appreciate. The beds are firm – like, really firm – but honestly after walking cobblestones all day, I slept like a rock. You know what I loved? The windows actually open properly, and it’s quiet enough at night that you can sleep with them cracked. Try doing that near Wenceslas Square and you’ll be up all night listening to trams and drunk tourists.
Here’s the thing about staying in Chodov – you’re about a 20-minute metro ride from the historic center, but the Chodov shopping center is literally right there if you need anything practical (and I mean anything – that place is massive). The Opatov metro station is maybe a 10-minute walk, and once you figure out Prague’s surprisingly efficient public transport, you’ll actually prefer being able to escape back to this quieter neighborhood each evening. I grabbed dinner a few times at local spots nearby where menus weren’t translated into five languages and beer cost what locals actually pay. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but there’s a decent Vietnamese place – and yeah, Prague has amazing Vietnamese food if you know where to look – just down the street that became my go-to for quick meals. Parking was easy too, which if you’re driving in Prague, you’ll understand is basically a miracle. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to wow you with luxury, but everything works, it’s clean, the staff is helpful without being pushy, and honestly, you’ll probably end up spending most of your time exploring the city anyway. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge who can get you impossible restaurant reservations.
To book a hotel in Prague during the famous Easter Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.

The Hotel was very clean, spacious bedroom and very spacious bathroom. It was next to a bus stop so could easily access Prague center. Also free access to a nice swimming pool.
What could be improved: Breakfast tasted nice but was basic.
A little far from Prague center but not really a problem due to proximity and efficiency of public transport.Superb – Vineeth from Netherlands – 26 June 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Don't have refrigeretorGood location away from city centre but with good public transportation – Vladimir from Czech Republic – 9 June 2024 (7/10)
Good location. Easy to arrive by car. Good public transportation to get to the city center.
What could be improved: The cost for a dog of 20EUR(500kc) per night is the first time I’ve seen such an expensive pet fee. Compared to a private hotel in Austria where I paid 5EUR for all days. Compared to a private studio in France where I paid 0EUR.
The cost would be somehow fine if known in advance. Not the day I was about to arrive.Good stay at Prague – Kazunori from Netherlands – 21 May 2024 (8/10)
