The trams rumble by regularly (though it’s not annoyingly loud), and there’s this great energy of a real neighborhood around you. Walking to Náměstí Míru takes maybe ten minutes, and from there you can hop on the metro or just wander down toward the city center – it’s that sweet spot where you feel connected but not overwhelmed by crowds.

The hotel itself has that classic Central European vibe – three stars that actually mean something, you know? The rooms are clean and comfortable without trying to be fancy, which I honestly prefer to places that over-promise and under-deliver. The staff seems to genuinely know the area well, not just the standard tourist script, and they’ll point you toward that little café around the corner or tell you which tram actually runs on time. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Vinohrady isn’t a party district, so you can actually sleep without earplugs. The breakfast situation is solid too, nothing revolutionary but proper Czech bread and decent coffee, plus they don’t rush you out if you want to sit and plan your day.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’ll probably walk more than if you camped out in Old Town, but you’ll also stumble across way more interesting stuff. There are these great pubs and restaurants scattered around that tourists never find, plus you’re close enough to Riegrovy sady (the park locals actually use) for morning runs or evening beers with a view. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it does what it promises really well. If you’re the type who wants to explore beyond the castle and the astronomical clock, and you don’t need marble bathrooms or a concierge in a fancy uniform, this place gets it right. Plus, honestly, your money goes further here than in the touristy zones, and that’s never a bad thing when you’re traveling.

  The Team was very friendly and the rooms were comfortable.
  Stayed in the area before and love the restaurants and coffeshops around, away from all the tourists.
  
  What could be improved: The lift stopped in between corridors so there were still a few steps to take. Difficult for hubby. Also the light in corridor only came on when we were close to room so walking a few steps in complete darkness

  I stayed for one night and was quite satisfied. The room is spacious and large, and although the furniture is older, the mattress was extremely comfortable for sleeping. Both the room and bathroom were very clean and well-maintained, with all the essentials provided.
  
  The room faces a busy street, so traffic noise is noticeable, but this is expected given the excellent location of the hotel, which is close to the city center. Overall, I would recommend this hotel as a great option for those seeking good accommodation at an affordable price.

  The hotel was really clean. Had our own bathroom, you could adjust the room temperature for yourself, nice bed, cozy pillows. The wifi was also perfect 🥰

  The lift was a little weird because they were in the half floors, but this could have been my mistake, since I saw more lifts.
