HOTEL ARÉNA

Capital City of Prague, Czechia
Kovářská 1170/15, Prague, 190 00, Czech Republic

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to HOTEL ARÉNA on Kovářská street, you immediately get the sense this is one of those places that knows exactly what it’s doing. It’s a three-star property that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — honestly, that’s refreshing in Prague where so many hotels either oversell themselves or feel like they’re apologizing for existing. The building has this solid, unpretentious charm that made me think “okay, these people get it” before I even walked through the front door.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about the location — it’s not right in the tourist chaos, but you’re not stranded in some random neighborhood either. You know how couples always seem to have strong opinions about where they stay? Well, they’re rating this spot a 9.0, and I get why. You can actually walk to the main sights without feeling like you need a sherpa, but when you come back at night, you’re in a real Prague neighborhood where locals actually live. There’s parking right at the hotel too, which — trust me — is worth its weight in gold if you’re driving in this city.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star place — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up without any unnecessary frills. The beds are actually good (not just “hotel acceptable”), and the bathroom had decent water pressure, which honestly makes or breaks a stay for me. What struck me was how everything just worked — the Wi-Fi didn’t cut out every five minutes, the heating responded when you adjusted it, and the windows actually opened properly. Small things, but they add up when you’re trying to relax after walking around Prague all day.

The Repeat Guest Factor

You know what’s interesting? This place has way more repeat guests than most hotels I’ve stayed at, and after spending a few nights here, I totally understand why. It’s not about flashy amenities or trying to wow you with over-the-top service — it’s about getting the basics really, really right. The staff remembers your name, they know which restaurant recommendations actually work for different types of travelers, and there’s this comfortable familiarity that develops quickly. I mean, when people keep coming back to the same hotel in a city with hundreds of options, that tells you something important about the experience.

Why Guests Love It

Look, HOTEL ARÉNA isn’t going to change your life or give you Instagram-worthy moments at every turn. What it will do is provide a solid, reliable base for exploring Prague without any unpleasant surprises or frustrations. The location hits that sweet spot between accessible and authentic, the rooms deliver on comfort without pretension, and the whole operation runs smoothly enough that you can focus on enjoying the city instead of dealing with hotel drama. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need — a place that just works well and lets Prague be the star of the show.

The concierge service in Prague can arrange exclusive tours of Prague Castle, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize personalized visits to Charles Bridge and the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Very good

Clean, nice facilities, good location close to o2 arena. There was even a shared kitchen with microwave which is not very common in hotels.

What could be improved: There is no AC so in the summer it was really hot in the room

I would book again if I needed to stay in that location

Close to the O2 Arena, not too far from Main Train Station

What could be improved: The lady at the reception seemed to be upset that the customers kept coming for check-in. Maybe it doesn’t happen regularly or she was new on the job and nobody told her this was customer facing job. 🤷‍♂️
Peace ✌️.
