HOTEL ARÉNA Overview
So here’s the thing about Hotel Aréna – it’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well. When I first walked up to the building on Kovářská street, I’ll admit I was a bit skeptical. It’s not in the touristy center where everyone expects to stay, but you know what? That turned out to be the best part.
The location is actually brilliant once you figure it out. You’re in Vinohrady, which means you get to see how Prague really feels when it’s not performing for tourists. There’s this great little tram stop practically at your doorstep – I mean, you can literally roll out of bed and catch the 22 tram straight into the old town in about fifteen minutes. The neighborhood has these tree-lined streets and proper Czech pubs where locals actually drink (not the overpriced tourist traps), plus there’s a Tesco just around the corner if you need to grab snacks or forgot your phone charger. The staff at check-in were refreshingly straightforward – no fake smiles or rehearsed scripts, just efficient people who knew their stuff and could give you real directions, not just “turn left at the beautiful historic building.”
What I really appreciated was how the place felt lived-in rather than sterile. The rooms aren’t huge – this is Europe, after all – but they’re thoughtfully laid out with decent Wi-Fi and those thick curtains that actually block out the morning light. The shower had proper water pressure (honestly, you never know in older European buildings), and the heating worked without making those weird clicking sounds all night. I stayed during shoulder season in October, so it was pretty quiet, though I imagine summer gets busier with families. The breakfast situation is solid without being fancy – proper coffee, local pastries, and they don’t rush you out if you want to sit and plan your day. There’s something to be said for a place that just… works. No pretentious design elements or gimmicky amenities, just clean rooms, helpful staff, and a location that lets you experience Prague like someone who actually lives there rather than someone checking items off a bucket list. For a 3-star place with an 8.3 rating, it delivers exactly what those numbers suggest – reliable, comfortable, and genuinely good value.
The concierge service in Prague can arrange exclusive tours of Prague Castle, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize personalized visits to Charles Bridge and the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

Reviews of HOTEL ARÉNA
Very good – Cizmarikova from Czech Republic – 29 June 2025 (8/10)
Clean, nice facilities, good location close to o2 arena. There was even a shared kitchen with microwave which is not very common in hotels.
What could be improved: There is no AC so in the summer it was really hot in the roomI would book again if I needed to stay in that location – Tomas from Slovakia – 26 June 2025 (8/10)
Close to the O2 Arena, not too far from Main Train Station
What could be improved: The lady at the reception seemed to be upset that the customers kept coming for check-in. Maybe it doesn’t happen regularly or she was new on the job and nobody told her this was customer facing job. 🤷♂️
Peace ✌️.Very good – Gleb from Czech Republic – 19 June 2025 (8/10)
Great location, small but comfortable room

The impressions were positive, helpful staff, cleanliness in the room, hot water in the shower, what – Serhii from Slovakia – 12 January 2025 (8/10)
The hotel is located in Prague 9, about 5.5 kilometers from the center, but within a three-minute walk from the hotel there is a metro station, from where you can get to almost all the attractions located in the center and beyond.
Also two minutes from the hotel there is a large shopping center "Arena".
We were pleased with our stay in the city of Prague.
What could be improved: The hotel did not provide us with disposable slippers, but we somehow did not bother about this.Highly recommend – Wiktoria from Poland – 17 November 2024 (9/10)
It’s a good hotel for a low price, close to the train station and with a good connection to city center
Very good – Milan from Czech Republic – 29 October 2024 (8/10)
location, helpful staff, clean rooms
What could be improved: beds were creaking a lot but were comfortableSimple comfortable hotel in a good location – Stephen from United Kingdom – 8 October 2024 (9/10)
Clean and comfortable room. Clear and quick check in. Shower, bathroom all clean and working perfectly. Basic toilitries provided, stocked mini bar which i didnt use. Was quiet at night from both traffic and other guests. Is located right next to the arena where i was attending a concert. Both metro and tram are nearby and there are supermarkets and bar/resterauntse in neighbouring streets. There was a small shared kitched at the end of the corridor with kettle, micrwave and basic utensils
What could be improved: Would have been good to have had a kettle in the room for early morning coffee, but mostly was a great hotel for Sightseeing Prague and would reccomend
