Hotel AMITY Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Hotel AMITY on Jívanská street, you immediately get that feeling this place knows what it’s doing. It’s not trying to be something it isn’t — just a solid three-star hotel that actually delivers on its promises. The building has this understated charm that fits perfectly with the residential vibe of the neighborhood, and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a night or two.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about this spot in Prague — it’s one of those locations that locals would actually choose if they were hosting friends from out of town. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos to feel like you’re experiencing real Prague, but close enough that getting to the main sights doesn’t require planning your entire day around transportation. I mean, couples consistently rate this location 8.5 out of 10, and that tells you something. The street itself is quiet, tree-lined, and you’ll find yourself walking past actual Praguers going about their daily lives rather than groups of tourists with selfie sticks.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d hope for — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged without any unnecessary frills. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel-marketing comfortable), and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with your belongings. What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, enough outlets where you actually need them, and windows that open properly for fresh air. You know what? Sometimes the basics done well beat fancy amenities done poorly.

Breakfast & Parking

The breakfast setup here is honestly better than it needs to be for a three-star place. They offer both continental and buffet options, which means you can grab something quick if you’re rushing out to catch morning light at Charles Bridge, or settle in for a proper meal if you’re planning a leisurely day. The quality is consistent — fresh bread, decent coffee, and enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several days. And here’s something that’ll save you both money and headaches: they have free private parking right at the hotel. Trust me, if you’re driving in Prague, this is worth its weight in gold.

Why Guests Love It

Recent guests keep rating this place 8.4 for location, and after staying here, I get it completely. Hotel AMITY doesn’t oversell itself or make promises it can’t keep — it just does everything well enough that you’ll find yourself recommending it to friends without any caveats. The staff seems genuinely happy to help rather than just going through the motions, and there’s something refreshing about a place that focuses on getting the fundamentals right. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway or just need a reliable base for exploring Prague, this hotel delivers exactly what it promises, which is rarer than you might think.

Prague hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Old Town Square to elegant castle-view hotels and modern accommodations near Wenceslas Square.
