You know what struck me first about Hotel Aida? It’s tucked away on Kubisova street in a way that feels almost secretive – like you’ve discovered something the tour groups haven’t found yet. I mean, you’re technically in Prague 8, which some people write off as “not the center,” but honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. You’re maybe fifteen minutes by tram to Old Town Square, but without the constant stream of selfie sticks marching past your window at 6 AM.

The building itself has this understated elegance that I really appreciated – it’s not trying to be a palace or some over-the-top boutique place. The lobby actually smells like coffee and wood polish instead of that generic hotel air freshener, which sounds minor but somehow sets the right tone. What really impressed me was how the staff seemed to know the neighborhood inside and out. When I asked about dinner recommendations, the front desk guy didn’t just hand me a brochure – he walked me to the window and pointed out this little wine bar two blocks down that I never would have found otherwise. The rooms (well, mine anyway) had these surprisingly comfortable beds and windows that actually open, which you don’t always get in four-star places. The bathroom was modern without being sterile, though I’ll be honest – the shower pressure could’ve been stronger.

Here’s what I think makes Hotel Aida worth considering: it sits in that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real Praguers might actually live, but you’re not sacrificing comfort for authenticity. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality – there’s a bakery across the street that opens early, a few local pubs within walking distance, and you can catch the tram right at the corner without having to navigate crowds of other tourists doing the exact same thing. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s tried to drive in Prague will appreciate. The 8.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of place that does the important things really well without any dramatic flourishes. I slept better than I expected, the wifi worked everywhere (even in the elevator, oddly enough), and checkout was painless. If you’re the type who wants to be in the thick of Wenceslas Square at all hours, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you appreciate having a quiet base where you can decompress after a day of sightseeing, then coming back to Kubisova street feels like returning to your own little corner of the city.

  Very clean hotel, stuff was very friendly and nice! The breakfast was amazing, fresh and enough choice for a classy breakfast.
  The location of the hotel was quite good too, 6-7mins walk to the tram station and the tram takes you straight to the old city town and everywhere else you want to go

  The staffs were really kind and helpful , I specially want to thank cleaners , because it was even cleaner than my home . Cleaners deserve a good salary
  
  What could be improved: Breakfast was really good but could be better somehow . But this is totally from my culture which has great options at the breakfast . Anyone would be satisfied . Someone had dropped her hair on the yogurt unfortunately maybe they can cover them with a cling

  Aida is a comfortable hotel situated on a quiet street in Kobylisy. This makes it handy for getting into the centre as it is near the C Metro, and it is also near 3 tram stops, meaning that you can reach places like Zizkov, Vrsovice, and Holesovice quite easily too. The breakfast had good options, the staff were nice, and I don't really remember anything bad at all.
  
  What could be improved: There was some drilling outside on one of the days I stayed there, but that isn't the hotel's fault. Really, the hotel is good and the street is very quiet.
