Hostel Little Quarter Overview
You know what struck me first about Hostel Little Quarter? It’s actually tucked right into one of Prague’s most impossibly charming streets – Nerudova is this winding cobblestone path that climbs up toward the castle, lined with baroque buildings that look like they’re straight out of a fairy tale. I mean, you’re literally staying in the heart of Malá Strana (that’s Little Quarter in Czech), which honestly feels like cheating because most tourists spend their whole trip trying to find streets this picturesque.
The building itself has that worn-in European charm – thick walls that keep things surprisingly quiet despite being on a main pedestrian route, though you’ll definitely hear the occasional clip-clop of horse carriages heading up to Prague Castle in the morning. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood inside out. They pointed me toward this tiny wine bar called U Fleku that I never would’ve found otherwise, tucked down an alley about two minutes away. The rooms are what you’d expect from a well-run 3-star place – clean, functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The beds are actually comfortable (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in this price range), and there’s decent water pressure in the showers.
What really makes this place special though is the location – and I don’t mean that in some generic “convenient location” way. You can walk to Charles Bridge in maybe eight minutes, but more importantly, you’re staying in a part of Prague that still feels lived-in rather than just touristy. There’s a little grocery store at the bottom of the hill, and honestly, watching locals navigate these steep cobblestones with their shopping bags is pretty entertaining. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be luxurious, but it nails the basics while putting you right in the middle of one of Europe’s most beautiful neighborhoods. Just pack comfortable shoes because these medieval streets weren’t designed for wheeled luggage, and if you’re planning to stay during summer, book early since everyone figures out pretty quickly that this spot is kind of perfect for exploring the city on foot.

What could be improved: NothingVery good – Rafael from Sweden – 27 April 2025 (8/10)
Very good location and comfortable beds.
What could be improved: Not much of a social place. Managed to only get to know my room mates.Amzing, scenic, perfectly situated – Kowalski from United States – 21 April 2025 (9/10)
The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. I really enjoyed talking to Lucy, she was so nice!! Beds were comfy, and room situation was good. The outdoor spaces were comfortable and well situated. Location was perfect, couldn’t have asked for better.
What could be improved: The only think I didn’t love was the fact that the showers were push in timers. But you can easily lean against them and have a constant flow of water.Exceptional – Marisa from United States – 18 April 2025 (10/10)
Staff was friendly, my bed was close to the window so I faced the street as I requested. Still, it was a memorable 9 nites stay with minimal noise from tourists/students. Will definitely recommend this Hostel especially to American tourists.
What could be improved: Truly I can't think of anything else.Big win at Little Quarter – Virginia from United Kingdom – 24 March 2025 (10/10)
The location was perfect, I felt safe and comfortable my entire stay.
Quiet place right under the castle – Monika from Czech Republic – 21 March 2025 (10/10)
Great location in Little Quarter, just count on a bit of walk up a cobblestoned street from the tram in the square (better with a backpack). Very clean and a nice common space with a view of the castle. Not a social hostel, but a good night sleep. Has well stocked kitchen with a fridge. The reception was very helpful, when I found out on check-in that someone the 10-bed dorm took two lockers (so none was left), they put me in a much better 6-bed with only 2 other people.
What could be improved: Don't wait to book, around popular times the place is full. Also the price seems to be more expensive the later you book.Comfort – Tukazban from Georgia – 31 December 2024 (10/10)
The location is great, facilities and beds are comfortable and reception has everything you may need – nice receptionists, free tea, deodorant and similar things to buy without going out of your comfort zone – We even had free cookies everyday on Christmas days ❤
All good. Value for money! – Viswanathan from Denmark – 28 December 2024 (10/10)
