Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “airport hotel,” I was already bracing myself for that sterile, fluorescent-lit experience you usually get. But the Holiday Inn Prague Airport actually surprised me in a good way. It’s literally right there at Prague International Airport (like, you can practically roll out of bed and onto your flight), but somehow they’ve managed to make it feel less… airport-y than you’d expect.

What really got me was how quiet it is inside. I mean, you know you’re next to runways, but the soundproofing is genuinely impressive – I slept through what must have been the morning rush of departures. The rooms have this clean, modern vibe without being too corporate, and honestly, the beds are better than some city center hotels I’ve stayed in. There’s something refreshing about their approach too – they’re not trying to pretend they’re some boutique spot in Old Town, they just do the airport hotel thing really well. The restaurant is actually decent (not just “decent for an airport hotel”), and the staff seems to get that most people are either jet-lagged or stressed about catching flights, so they’re pretty accommodating with early breakfasts and late check-ins.

Here’s the thing though – if you’re someone who wants to explore Prague’s historic center, you’re looking at about a 30-minute ride on public transport, maybe 20 by taxi depending on traffic. But that’s kind of the point, isn’t it? Sometimes you just need a solid place to crash between flights or before an early departure, and this place nails that brief. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the most Instagram-worthy hotel in Prague, but it does what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. I’d definitely book it again for those practical stay-overs, especially since parking is straightforward (which, if you’ve ever tried to navigate Prague’s city center with a rental car, you’ll appreciate). Plus, there’s something oddly satisfying about being able to see your terminal from your room window – takes all the stress out of those 6 AM flights.

  Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Good breakfast and vicinity to the Prague Airport is a big plus.
  
  What could be improved: Only small flaw is the hot water in the shower took a bit longer to start running.

  The hotel is an excellent stop for using the airport. About a 10 minute walk from the terminal or there is a regular bus link. Excellent food in the restaurant which is open till late. Very good breakfast too.

  This is a good option for anyone wanting close proximity to the airport. It's a very comfortable and well appointed room and exceeded my expectations of a Holiday Inn. It's attached restaurant has a decent menu and isn't excessively pricey, especially considering there's not many other options nearby. We ate there for dinner, but not breakfast.
  
  What could be improved: It's proximity to the airport is good, but it also means it's far away from anything else. There is decent city bus access, but you do have to go a ways for other dining options. For us, breakfast wasn't included, and if I remember correctly, it was 15 euros per person which seemed a bit steep.

  What could be improved: We always stay in this hotel when we travel, but the staff was not friendly this time between January 2nd to 3rd 2025. They just didn't care for anything to help..plus the young female driver who took us January 3rd at 5am to airport was absolutely not helping or friendly at all.

  The facility is fairly new hotel and very clean. We initially had a situation with the shower door. When we reported it, they promptly sent up a man to fix it. When he saw the door, he said we would get a new room and kept his word. He even helped us move our belongings.
  
  What could be improved: the bathtub was a little deep for us to climb into.
