Historical apartment with balcony Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to Vlasska 7 – honestly, the street number was so small I almost missed it entirely. But this little historical apartment turned out to be one of those Prague gems that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled into something special. The building itself has that weathered elegance you see all over Lesser Town, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that the walls have stories to tell.
The apartment strikes this perfect balance between old-world character and actually being comfortable to stay in. The balcony – and I mean this – is where you’ll probably end up spending way more time than you planned. It faces out toward the castle district, so mornings feel pretty magical with coffee and that view. The neighbors seem to be a mix of locals and other travelers, which creates this nice, lived-in atmosphere rather than feeling like you’re in some sterile hotel bubble. I actually heard someone practicing violin in the evening, which sounds annoying but was honestly kind of charming. The furnishings are what you’d call “thoughtfully vintage” – not fancy, but everything works and feels intentional. The kitchen has proper dishes and a decent coffee maker, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.
Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot of Prague’s Lesser Town without being right in the tourist chaos. Nerudova Street is literally around the corner, so you can walk up to the castle when the crowds thin out in late afternoon, but you’re also close enough to those little wine bars tucked into Kampa Island that locals actually frequent. The trams on Újezd are maybe a five-minute walk – super handy for getting across the river without dealing with the packed Charles Bridge on foot. Parking is… well, it’s Prague, so forget about street parking, but there’s a garage about two blocks away that won’t completely break your budget. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not luxury by any stretch, but everything just works the way it should, and the host clearly knows what travelers actually need versus what looks good in photos. I’d definitely book it again, especially during shoulder season when you can really appreciate having that balcony space to yourself.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Prague through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich medieval heritage.

Great location in a quiet neighbourhood near embassies and a police station. The apartment had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We really loved the interior and the ceiling – it looks incredible.
Also, a big thank you to our host Ivo for the warm welcome, detailed tips on places to visit and dine, and the quick responses whenever we had questions!
What could be improved: There were some minor soundproofing issues in the apartment — we could hear someone sneezing outside even with the windows closed 😀
Some of the dishes were chipped, but we didn’t use them much anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal for us.Very good apartment of the excellent location – Vladimir from Estonia – 4 March 2025 (9/10)
