Historic centre of Prague Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Historic centre of Prague on Karmelitská Street, you immediately understand why this place gets such incredible location scores. I mean, you’re literally standing in the heart of Malá Strana — that’s Lesser Town for those keeping track — and honestly, it doesn’t get much more authentic than this. The building itself has that weathered Prague charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a different century, which you sort of have. This three-star property might not scream opulence, but it absolutely nails what most travelers actually want: being right where everything happens.
The Perfect Prague Address
Here’s what I love about staying here — you can walk to Prague Castle in about ten minutes, and Charles Bridge is practically around the corner. But you know what’s even better? You’re not stuck in some tourist bubble. Karmelitská runs through one of those neighborhoods where locals actually live and work, so you’ll find proper Czech pubs tucked between the souvenir shops. The trams are right there when you need them, but honestly, you’ll probably end up walking everywhere because Prague‘s old town is just that compact and beautiful.
What You’re Actually Getting
Look, this isn’t going to be your typical hotel experience with a fancy lobby and room service — think of it more like staying in a well-located Prague apartment. The accommodations are clean and functional, which is exactly what you want when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway. Each room has that slightly quirky European layout that Americans always find charming, and the windows actually open (revolutionary concept, I know). The Wi-Fi works fine, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped.
The Neighborhood Experience
What really sets this place apart is how it puts you right in the middle of authentic Prague life. There’s a fantastic local restaurant just down the street where the waiters still remember your order after two visits, and the morning coffee scene around here is absolutely perfect for people-watching. You’ll hear church bells from multiple directions — this area is packed with historic churches — and the cobblestone streets actually feel lived-in rather than preserved for tourists. It’s the kind of neighborhood where you start recognizing faces after a few days.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.1 rating and perfect location score aren’t accidents — this place just works for people who want to experience Prague rather than just see it. Couples especially seem to get it (they rated the location a perfect 10), probably because there’s something inherently romantic about wandering these medieval streets and always being able to duck back to your place when you need a break. The value is honestly incredible when you consider you’re paying three-star prices to stay in one of Europe’s most beautiful city centers. Sure, you won’t have a concierge or turndown service, but you’ll have something better — the feeling that you’re actually living in Prague, even if it’s just for a few days.

Thoughtful complimentary refreshments and chocolates! Comfortable, clean room and beds. Kitchen and laundry were fully equipped. Very generous size and good support in the sofa bed, fit my teenaged children very well. Cheerful decor.
Excellent location to all sightseeing. Fast walk
to Charles Bridge which we loved seeing at both day and night.
What could be improved: The bathtub/shower-tub is hard to get in and out of for older persons but it had this old world charm and became part of our Prague experience.Kateřina from Czech Republic – 16 March 2025 (10/10)
The location was super convenient, situated in the city center but still quiet. The conversation with the lady was fast, she explained everything that we needed. She prepared some snacks for us, and the kitchen facilities were also great. I really appreciate the whole service. Everything was clean and nice. I would like to come back in the future!!!! I highly recommend this place!!!

What could be improved: There should be a bracket for the shower head..Dylan from Ireland – 21 July 2024 (10/10)
Location was amazing. So central but off the street so very quiet at night. Good water pressure. Apartment was cool even on hot days which was nice.
What could be improved: I wish there was a hook for the shower head but doesn't look as though one could be added so can't fault them on that really….thats all everything else greatSabina from Israel – 17 May 2024 (9/10)

Kindly contact person
What could be improved: Price, because it was a hockey championship it was expensive
But not much like other propertiesLorenzo from Italy – 6 April 2023 (9/10)
The apartment is super cozy and warm. It's not very big but it's well organized. The living room is really nice, well furnished and there's even a piano! The kitchen is modern and functional and the bedroom and bathroom do their job.
The host was really kind and helpful.
The location is AMAZING. The Castle is a 10 minute walk away and it takes just 5 minutes to get to Charles Bridge and 15 minutes to get to the Old Town Square. The apartment is also next door to a very pretty baroque garden.
What could be improved: Just a couple of really big brown spiderwebs on the corner of the ceiling that went flying through the whole kitchen when we turned on the extractor fan to cook.
The wi-fi has little to no network inside the house due to the thick walls but the host clearly states this and provides a portable router to take outside.Connor from United Kingdom – 1 April 2023 (9/10)
great location but also private. also very clean and spacious with all the facilities you need. nice attention to detail from the host in terms of cleanliness and chocolates/beers
What could be improved: better WiFi signal inside the flatVictoriaferman from Moldova – 29 December 2022 (10/10)
We enjoyed or stay fully. The location is really very good, the property is clean and is equipped with all the necessary things and less necessary but cosy things. The host is very caring and kind. Recommend!

The location which is fabulous, perfect.
The apartment which is spacious and comfortable.
What could be improved: The only bad experience I encountered is the internet connection (either I cannot connect, or it's very slow) but it was not a big deal for me.Mykola from Ukraine – 12 November 2022 (10/10)
The ideal location of the apartments allows you to fully enjoy the historical part of Prague. Cozy and clean apartments have everything for a comfortable stay (fully equipped kitchen and bathroom).
