You know what caught me off guard about Greg Apartments Kampa? The location is honestly kind of brilliant – tucked away on this quiet residential street called Šeříková, but you’re literally a three-minute walk from Kampa Island. I mean, most people think they need to stay right in Old Town to be close to everything, but being on the Lesser Town side means you skip a lot of the tourist chaos while still being super close to the good stuff.
The apartments themselves feel more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel – and I actually mean that in the best way possible. Everything’s been updated nicely (the kitchens are surprisingly well-equipped if you’re the type who likes to grab groceries at the Tesco down the street), but it doesn’t have that sterile, just-renovated smell that some places have. The beds are properly comfortable, which honestly isn’t always a given in Prague, and the bathrooms have decent water pressure. What really works is the soundproofing – Šeříková isn’t a busy street anyway, but you can barely hear anything once you’re inside. I stayed there during shoulder season in October and could leave the windows open at night without dealing with street noise or drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM.
Here’s the thing that’ll probably matter most to you: you’re close enough to walk everywhere you actually want to go, but far enough from Wenceslas Square that you won’t be dealing with bachelor parties every night. The walk to Charles Bridge takes maybe eight minutes if you’re moving slowly and stopping to look at things. Prague Castle? Fifteen minutes uphill, but it’s a nice walk through some of the prettier residential streets in Lesser Town. And honestly, being near Kampa Island means you’ve got this great little park right there – perfect for morning coffee or if you need to decompress after a day of sightseeing. There’s also this decent pizza place called Pizzeria Kampa just around the corner (nothing fancy, but good when you don’t want to think about where to eat), and a small grocery store within two blocks for basics. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you consider that it delivers on the practical stuff without trying to be something it’s not – clean, comfortable, well-located, and the staff actually responds quickly when you need something. It’s the kind of place you’d book again without hesitation.

Perfectly located near public transport stops and within walking distance to main locations. The apartment was in perfect condition and the host was always very helpful with any questions we had. Highly recommended.

Bonuses were Michal was incredibly helpful and the the airport pick-up and drop-off plus luggage storage was brilliant. View of the castle from our top flat room. Basic groceries around the corner or a big Tesco supermarket on a direct tram line a couple of stops away.
What could be improved: We loved it and thought it excellent value for money and would recommend it. The apartment is very spacious, clean and warm. It is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The location is excellent in a quiet part of Prague and at the same time very central. The host is very kind, professional and helpful.
