Grandior Hotel Prague Overview
Honestly, when I first walked into the Grandior Hotel Prague on Na Poříčí, I wasn’t expecting much – I mean, that stretch of the street isn’t exactly the prettiest part of New Town. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unexpected packages. This place actually turned out to be one of those gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special, even though it’s sitting right there in plain sight.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to blend that old Prague elegance with stuff that actually works in 2024. The lobby has this gorgeous Art Nouveau feel – you can tell they put serious thought into preserving the building’s character – but then you get to your room and everything just… functions. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, the shower has proper water pressure (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in historic Prague buildings), and the beds are legitimately comfortable. I stayed there during a busy conference week in September, and while I could hear some street noise from Na Poříčí in the morning, it wasn’t the kind that keeps you up at night.
The location is actually pretty brilliant once you figure it out. Sure, you’re not right in the heart of Old Town, but you’re a solid ten-minute walk to Wenceslas Square, and honestly? That means you avoid the worst of the tourist crowds while still being close enough to everything that matters. Plus – and this is something most visitors don’t realize – you’re super close to Masaryk Station, which is incredibly handy if you’re planning day trips to other Czech cities or just need to catch a train to the airport. The tram stop right outside connects you to the castle area without having to navigate those brutal cobblestone hills on foot. I watched so many guests discover this and have that “oh, this is perfect” moment. The staff seemed to genuinely know the city well too – not just the obvious tourist stuff, but like, where to get good coffee that isn’t overpriced (there’s this little place about three blocks down that they recommended, and it became my daily ritual). Even small things, like how they handle luggage storage after checkout or help with restaurant reservations, felt smooth and thoughtful rather than rushed. With an 8.8 rating, you’d expect decent service, but this felt more personal than that – more like staying somewhere the people actually care about your experience in Prague, not just whether you’ll leave a good review.

It’s so near to literally everything, just a walkable distance to the center.
Nice and comfy room, breakfast buffet is delicious and a lot of variety.
Just the parking fees are crazy, like 40€ per day.Pamela from United Kingdom – 30 March 2025 (9/10)

Nice big room, well equiped, nice bathroom, pretty good view, great location, friendly staff
What could be improved: Breakfast had wide range, but I was not all that happy with it. Veggies were not very fresh and low offer, vegan options were quite limited and even the ones which were vegan were not all that great, lacking taste or just weird tasting. I expected a bit more on this front from a 5 star.David from United Kingdom – 29 March 2025 (9/10)
The location was perfect, the breakfast had the most amount of choices I have seen, and the staff were very helpful.
