You know what caught me off guard about Glamour Frida? The name made me expect something a bit kitschy – maybe over-the-top Kahlo artwork everywhere – but honestly, it’s way more sophisticated than that. This 4-star apartment sits right on Zlatnicka street in Prague’s Old Town, and I mean *right* in the thick of things. You’re basically a three-minute walk from the Astronomical Clock, which sounds amazing until you realize that also means tourist crowds, but here’s the thing – once you duck into the building, it’s surprisingly quiet.

The apartment itself has this interesting mix of modern comfort with subtle artistic touches (there are some beautiful Frida-inspired pieces, but they’re tasteful, not overwhelming). What really impressed me was the attention to practical details that someone who’s actually traveled would appreciate. The kitchen is properly equipped – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation – and the Wi-Fi actually works consistently, which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given in these historic Prague buildings. The bathroom has excellent water pressure too, something you don’t think about until you’re standing under a disappointing trickle after a long day of walking cobblestones.

Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you can walk to everything but still duck away from the madness when needed. Wenceslas Square is right there, obviously, but what I really loved was being so close to some of the smaller streets that most tourists miss – you can wander down toward Bethlehem Square in the evening when it’s all lit up and barely see another soul. The 8.3 rating makes total sense to me; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, but it delivers on what matters. Check-in was smooth (they actually responded to messages quickly, which seems rare these days), and while there’s no parking directly attached, there’s a garage about two blocks away that won’t completely destroy your budget. I’d say the only minor downside is that weekend nights can get a bit lively on the street – not terrible, but if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. Overall though, if you want to be in the absolute heart of Prague with some genuine character and comfort, this place gets it right.

  We loved our time at Glamour Frida! We were there for Christmas, and it was a great place to spend the holiday! The apartment was spacious enough for 4 of us. The bed and the pull out sofa were really comfortable. (I appreciated the confortable pillows because so many places have terrible pillows!). My kids enjoyed watching Netflix on the TV too.
  
  The kitchen was well stocked; it was easy to prepare simple meals. The shower was amazing, and the washing machine was much appreciated. The apartment also has a cute balcony and with a bonus bathroom and a little table which would be lovely in the summer!
  
  The apartment is just a few minutes walk from the Old Town Square as well as supermarkets, several restaurants and banks. I highly recommend and would stay again!
  
  What could be improved: I liked everything!

  Eclectic designed apartment with a super comfy bed and within walking or a tram ride to all the attractions. Very helpful hosts.

  Facilities are great, like in the photos. Kitchen is well equiped. Location is also nice, on a quiet street.
  
  What could be improved: The balcony is facing an interior courtyard which is not at all nice, you just see other windows in the building and the neighbours (quite old, it seems) are watching you all the time. Not a good feeling.

  The apartment was in a great location, about 10-15 minutes walk from the Old Town Square, slightly away from the tourist traps which allowed us to visit some lovely, more local, restaurants and bars. It was beautifully clean, spacious and bright; the condition resembled the photos exactly. The host was communicative and helpful throughout. Little touches like the coffee, water and toiletries were greatly appreciated on arrival. A fantastic place to stay for a couple looking to explore Prague and relax in a lovely accommodation. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend the apartment to others.
  
  What could be improved: There is very little to dislike at all about the apartment or location – a slight downside might be the two single duvets rather than a double, however this is to some people's preferences. It would have also helped to have some basic ingredients, such as oil, pepper etc stocked in the kitchen cupboard.

  Very distinctive design gives it a lovely welcoming and well-thought out feel.

  What could be improved: Apartment could get hot (weather was high 20s), but there is a portable air-conditioning unit (bit noisy and awkward getting ventilation pipe out window) and door to balcony can be opened.

  Location was good. The place is clean.
  
  What could be improved: 1. No sheets only two comforters.
  2. Washer is not usable where it is located below the bathroom sink.
  3. Finding the actual apartment was difficult and not easily explained.
  4. Bells go off hourly which was not mentioned.
  5. The closet is extremely tall. Had to stand on a stool to hang.
  6. The second bath is located outside on the small balcony.

  Awesome location, just on the edge of the old town but on a quiet street. Directly opposite a pilsner bar. Supermarkets a close walk away and the main tourist sites are no more than 10 minutes walking.
  
  The artwork and styling of the apartment is very good. There is also a second bathroom, which is excellent as the main one is in the bedroom
  
  What could be improved: The kitchen could be better equipped, there was no sugar or milk for coffee. Not very many coffee pods for the length of our stay. Bed is not very firm. The wardrobe and drawers are in the lounge and not the bedroom, which can be inconvenient if more than 2 people are staying. Service lacks the personal touch, as it is managed by a company that communicates in a robotic manner.

  Communication was exceptionally quick and Karen and Lucy were super polite and responsive; slightly out of centre location away from the tourist hordes but everything still in walking distance; decent kitchen (not always the case!). The apartment is in a great spot if you want to get to the parks to the North of the city and if you want a handful of uncrowned restaurants on your doorstep.
  
  What could be improved: The air conditioning is just in one room on a portable machine, not throughout the property. It would have been helpful to have had an email with the key collection procedure before arrival (but this may have been something going wrong with my email). The bed is super-soft, which might be a winner for some…

  Apartment is very stylish. Good location, easy check-in.
  
  What could be improved: But there were also negative moments. Firstly, dishes, tableware, pans were dirty. The oven is also dirty. Cobwebs on the ceilings. It would be perfect to pay attention to these little things.
