You know what caught me off guard about Giotto Apartments? The name makes it sound like some fancy art-themed place, but honestly, it’s just a really solid spot tucked away on Krátká street – and I mean that in the best way possible. The building itself has that classic Prague charm without trying too hard, if that makes sense. When I first walked up, I was relieved to see it wasn’t one of those over-renovated places that lost all its character.

The location is actually pretty brilliant once you figure out the neighborhood. Krátká is this quiet little street that most tourists walk right past, but you’re literally a five-minute stroll from all the main action. I kept thinking how nice it was to come back after a long day of sightseeing and not have to deal with crowds of people taking selfies right outside your window. The apartments themselves feel more like… well, actual apartments rather than hotel rooms that were clearly designed by committee. There’s real kitchen space – not just a mini-fridge and a prayer – and the living areas don’t feel cramped. I spent a rainy afternoon just hanging out, making coffee, and watching people walk by, which sounds boring but was exactly what I needed.

What really won me over was the staff’s approach to things. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no weird upselling or forced small talk about the “authentic Prague experience.” They just gave me the keys, pointed out where everything was, and let me get on with it. The 8.4 rating makes sense when you stay there – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but everything actually works properly. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, the shower has decent water pressure, and the beds are comfortable without being so soft you sink into oblivion. Small things, but you know how those details can make or break a trip. I did notice some street noise in the mornings, but nothing terrible, and honestly, hearing the city wake up felt more authentic than being sealed off in some soundproof bubble. If you’re looking for a place that feels like you’re actually living in Prague for a few days rather than just visiting it, this spot gets it right.

  Had a wonderful stay here! First off, it's located in a residential neighborhood away from the crowded tourist areas, which is great if you want to experience local life. The nearest tram is 5mins away, and 10-ish mins from the nearest metro station. There's a mini mart nearby, and lots of local (nothing fancy) restaurants within the area too. Felt safe in the neighborhood as a female traveler! And getting the keys to the property was easy. The host gave clear instructions in advance, and even the room had some tips and guides on what to see and eat.
  
  The room is just the right size with a private bathroom. The bed and linens were simple but comfy, there's a desk and a chair, and the bathroom was spotless. The common kitchen and lounge area are downstairs in the basement level, and cooking utensils are complete. A washer dryer and lockers are also free to use.
  
  Had a lovely stay here, and for the price, couldn't really ask for more! Martin and the Giotto team weren't onsite, but they were very responsive and helpful. Awesome job and thank you!
