You know what really caught me off guard about GE Apartments? Walking up to this restored building on Anglicka Street, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the outside – it’s got that classic Prague residential vibe that could go either way. But once you climb up to the first floor (and yes, you’ll be doing some stairs), the whole place just opens up in this really thoughtful way that makes you realize someone actually cared about the details here.

The thing about staying on Anglicka is that you’re properly in Vinohrady, which I mean, if you know Prague at all, you’ll appreciate how perfect this actually is. You’re close enough to walk to Náměstí Míru when you want that neighborhood square feeling, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually hear yourself think. I spent most mornings grabbing coffee from the little place around the corner – honestly can’t remember the name, but the locals were always there reading papers, which is usually a good sign. The apartments themselves feel more like someone’s well-designed home than a hotel room, if that makes sense. There’s this attention to modern touches without losing that Central European character that so many places either ignore completely or go way overboard trying to recreate.

What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night, despite being in the city. I’m usually pretty sensitive to street noise, but something about this particular stretch and the way the building sits just works. The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’re actually there – it’s not trying to be flashy or impress you with unnecessary stuff, but everything you do need just… works properly. The kitchen setup is actually functional (I made pasta one night because I could), the wifi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and honestly, the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward. During summer months you’ll want to open the windows at night since Prague can get pretty warm, and the cross-breeze situation here is surprisingly good. I’d definitely come back, especially if I was doing one of those longer Prague stays where you want to feel less like a tourist and more like you’re just living somewhere beautiful for a while.

  Excellent location, walkable to everywhere we wanted to go, especially the Christmas markets, close to restaurants and cafe’s.
  German was easily contactable, sorted out hot water quickly, even brought more fresh towels.
  There was even a welcoming Christmas tree in our room, nice touch, thank you.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing about the property, but, Minor issue with payment as advertised on booking.com as payable in Euros, and should be in shown payable in Czech crowns. As we did not know this, we had no Czech crowns but German happy to accept Euros, but this needs to be updated and made clear on booking.com

  Fabulous location in a beautiful apartment. Hosted beautifully and German is so very helpful. The unit is very secure, with simple access for guests. Really great cafes downstairs and quick easy access to trams via the lovely park just up the street. The walk to the river and old town is very easy and only takes 15 minutes. We really appreciate how beautifully presented the apartment is, and the great amenities. Highly recommended.

  The apartment was very spacious, well-equipped, clean, and quiet. The owner was available by phone, friendly, and happy to help. The apartment is located on a central but quiet street with plenty of cute cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets. It was very accessible to public transportation. We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend this apartment.

  Hosts were wonderful and made check in so easy. Apartment had plenty of room for a family and everyone had their own space as well as a large living room. It was right in between two cafes which were perfect for meals and it was a quick walk to the old town.
