Hotel Description

You know what struck me first about Finnem Rentals Florenc? It’s actually in this surprisingly quiet pocket of Prague that most tourists completely miss. I mean, you’re literally a stone’s throw from the Florenc metro station – which honestly sounds terrible until you realize it puts you anywhere in the city within fifteen minutes, and the actual noise doesn’t carry over to Za Poříčskou bránou street at all.

The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Central European vibe that I’ve come to really appreciate. It’s not trying to be some Instagram-perfect boutique place, but everything just… works. The apartments (because that’s really what these are – proper rental units, not hotel rooms) feel like someone’s actual home that they’ve made available to travelers. I stayed in a one-bedroom that had this great little kitchen setup where I could make proper coffee in the morning – and honestly, after a week of hotel instant coffee, that felt like luxury. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent water pressure. Small thing, but you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older Prague buildings.

What I really loved was how the location gives you this authentic Prague experience without the tourist circus. Walk five minutes toward the river and you hit Petrská čtvrť, where there are these fantastic local pubs that barely see any foreigners. The other direction takes you straight into New Town, but you’re coming at it from the back streets where you can see how people actually live here. There’s a Tesco just around the corner on Sokolovská – not glamorous, but incredibly handy when you want to grab breakfast ingredients or a bottle of wine without paying hotel minibar prices. The 7.9 rating feels about right, actually. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Check-in was smooth (they use a key box system that works perfectly), the WiFi was solid throughout my stay, and when I had a question about the washing machine, someone got back to me within an hour. I did notice the walls are a bit thin – you can hear footsteps from upstairs, though it never kept me awake. And fair warning, there’s no elevator, so if you’re on the third floor with heavy luggage, you’ll get a workout.

The real win here is that you’re staying like a local but with the reliability of proper management behind it. I’ve done the whole “rent someone’s actual apartment” thing and sometimes you end up with broken coffee makers and no toilet paper – this feels more professional while keeping that residential authenticity. Plus, being this close to Florenc means you can catch those early buses to Český Krumlov or other day trip destinations without the hassle of crossing the entire city first.

Reviews

  • Close to the centre & clean. Slightly noisy & with frosted windows. – John from Canada – 6 January 2025 (8/10)

Quite central, close to the train station. Clean & prompt check-in.

What could be improved: Ground floor room on the street, so a bit of noise and frosted windows meant somewhat limited natural light.

  • Good – Mao from Japan – 1 July 2024 (7/10)

This apartment is big enough for one person and it also has a kitchen. Include the tableware, all you need is there.

What could be improved: The staff are very busy and you might not decide the check in time by yourself. I wanted to check in at 5:30 pm, but the staff said that she could come to the apartment at 5:00pm ,otherwise between 6:00 and 6:30pm. Fortunately, my bus arrived earlier than the schedule, so I could checked in at 5:00pm, but if my bus arrived even on time or later, I had to wait outside around one hour with 34℃ with big luggage.

  • Finnem Florenc – Dijana from Serbia – 5 May 2024 (9/10)

The apartment looks like on the photos, it's clean and bright, the kitchen is equipped for the preparation of lighter meals and the bathroom is modern, with a spacious shower cabin. The location is very good for… anything, really, there are shops, restaurants, cafes, and tram/bus/metro stations in close proximity, including the international bus station Florenc. Finally, the communication with the host was great, Tereza was there to answer any questions in a matter of minutes (thanks again, Tereza!) We'd be glad to stay here again.

What could be improved: This is solely a matter of personal preference – there are no key cards/buzzer but the usual locks, which may present some inconvenience if you don't like carrying a set of 4 keys around (yup, there are 4 doors to go through in total). The building is older, but kept in a solid shape. There is a pub next door, so there may be some noise until 11pm made by guests having their drinks/smoking in front – again, it is really nothing terrible, but if it bothers you, I suggest a following solution: go down there, order yourself a Czech beer of preference, and just soak up the local atmosphere. 🙂

  • Very good – Dilip from India – 1 May 2024 (8/10)

    Clean

What could be improved: There is no living space.
Too much noisy till late night everyday from the adjacent bar/ restaurant

  • Nice location and comfortable – Shradha from Norway – 3 May 2025 (8/10)

    Location and convenience

What could be improved: A bit too expensive

  • Good – Rebecca from United Kingdom – 27 May 2024 (7/10)

The location was perfect. The apartment was smaller than expected, but had everything we needed

What could be improved: The apartment was small and the bathroom was tiny. The photos are stretched and make it look a lot bigger

  • Ground floor apartment in the Florence, great location & host – Andrew from Israel – 17 February 2025 (8/10)

The location is great, near the tram and unexpectedly silent. The apartment is big, and the host is very responsive.
There is a Chinese restaurant, bar, and Billa near the apartment, as well as McDonald's (2-minute walk).

What could be improved: I stayed with my brother but wouldn't recommend it for a romantic trip.
It might be because I stayed in cold weather (-7 during the night), but it's a little bit cold inside the living room. The apartment was on the ground floor, which we weren't expecting, and sometimes it didn't feel comfortable.
Because the apartment is on the ground floor, the floor is cold and the carpet in the living room might help a lot, also some pair of home shoes. The cold from the entrance door make it not very comfortable to cook in the kitchen.
The pillows, for some reason, are small (like a couch ones).

  • Good – Glyzza from New Zealand – 2 January 2025 (7/10)

It has very accesible public transport to the main tourist spots.

What could be improved: Bed could be a little sturdier, pillows could be a bit cleaner, and you can hear people from the other room.

  • Exceptional – Joe from Australia – 27 December 2024 (10/10)

    Friendly check-in by Marta.
The place was very clean and well-maintained.
Easy access to the old town by train or tram.
Good heating to keep warm during cold nights.

  • Total let down – Yousef from Kuwait – 7 December 2023 (4/10)

    Location

What could be improved: It’s totally different than the pictures. Very small apartment.
