Favorite apartment in the center of Prague 1 Overview

Look, I’ll be straight with you – when I first saw “Favorite apartment” in the name, I thought it was going to be one of those overly cute places that tries too hard. But honestly? After spending a few days on Štěpánská street, I get why they called it that. This little 3-star spot actually lives up to the hype, and the 8/10 rating isn’t just inflated reviews from people’s cousins.

The location is what really sells it, though. You’re right in the thick of Prague 1, which means you can stumble out the door and hit Wenceslas Square in about three minutes – I timed it because, well, priorities. What’s cool is that Štěpánská runs parallel to all the main tourist chaos, so you get the convenience without the constant stream of tour groups marching past your window at 7 AM. The building itself has that classic Prague character – you know, the kind where the hallways creak just enough to remind you you’re in a place with actual history, but not so much that you’re wondering if the floor’s going to give out. Check-in was surprisingly smooth for a smaller place, though I’d recommend confirming your arrival time since it’s not a massive hotel operation.

Here’s the thing that surprised me most – the apartment setup actually works. I mean, you’re not getting luxury here, but everything feels intentional rather than just thrown together. The windows face the street, which gives you these great glimpses of daily Prague life (old ladies with their shopping trolleys, the occasional street musician, that sort of thing), though you might want to pack earplugs if you’re a super light sleeper. The trams run nearby, and while it’s not loud exactly, there’s definitely a gentle urban hum. What I really appreciated was having actual space to spread out – after weeks of cramped hotel rooms across Europe, being able to unpack properly felt like a luxury. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that tourist areas often lose; there’s a little grocery store two blocks down where the owner started recognizing me by day three, and the café across the street makes this incredible trdelník that’s way better than the tourist-trap versions you’ll find near the castle. Parking’s going to be a challenge if you’re driving – this is old-city Prague, after all – but the public transport connections are solid, and honestly, you’ll want to walk everywhere anyway.

Reviews of Favorite apartment in the center of Prague 1

  • Good option in a busy city, reccomended – Adamo from Italy – 30 May 2025 (8/10)

Very good position, easy to the centre and to main bus and tram routes. Comfortable apartment, with bathroom and kitchen essentials.

What could be improved: Should dust a little better, especially under the beds (i'm allergic to dust)

  • Everything you need with a comfortable bed, lots of daylight and great pricing. – Laurent from Germany – 19 May 2025 (9/10)

The apartment had a very comfortable bed with nice big balconey. The small kitchen had everything for a simple meal like cooking an omelette. The wifi was very fast. The shower had strong water pressure with very hot water with rain-forest shower head, which I love.

The location is perfect, only 15 min walk from the train station and 400min from the main street going to the old town. The apartment is facing the inner courtyear of the building, so it is very quiet and you cannot hear the street noise.

Compared to other apartments, this was significantly cheaper than and just as nice. I would stay again in this apartment when i come back to Prague next year.

  • Highly recommend but the internet speed should be arrange. – Carlos from Belgium – 1 May 2025 (7/10)

    The location was great.

What could be improved: The internet speed was very slow.

  • A small nice flat in the downtown – Olga from Israel – 27 January 2025 (7/10)

The location is great, close to all important historical points of interest, there is a supermarket nearby. It was warm, hot water and floor heating was functioning fine, it was warm enough in January.

What could be improved: The wardrobe was lacking clothes racks. The room is smaller than it seems on the photos.

  • wonderful time in Prague, I would book again. – Kameldeep from United Kingdom – 17 September 2024 (8/10)

The location was very good and only a short walk to all the attractions. Bathroom was clean, facilities were all available.

What could be improved: There was no welcome pack like milk, sugar, small chocolate. Could have been a very nice touch.

  • really good apartment kind of noisy because of the dancing room above the apartment. – Abbasova from Azerbaijan – 23 June 2024 (8/10)

    they replied kind of fast

What could be improved: they had an attitude. i dont like that.

  • Cozy apartment in the city center! Overall great stay 👍 – Olena from Ukraine – 10 April 2024 (8/10)

Perfect location, comfy bed, spacious bathroom.

  • Great location & amenities. – Annaliese from New Zealand – 2 September 2023 (8/10)

The property was in a great location with all of the required amenities to make a comfortable stay. The host was very responsive and communicative. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

What could be improved: Had some issues with the washing machine on the first day to which the host was VERY attentive with a solution for us – so not really a negative as issue was resolved straight away for us.

  • Great apartment for a trip in Prague – Florin from Romania – 3 July 2023 (9/10)

Very close to center with a good value for money ratio.
I liked the self checking feature since we arrived quite late.
Apratment is quite spatious and has everything you need for a few days in Prague

What could be improved: No shower gel dispenser and no night stands.
