Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Prague accommodations, and FamilyVilla honestly surprised me in the best way. When I first pulled up to Do Chuchle Budova č. 2 – which is basically in the Chuchle district, south of the city center – I’ll admit I was wondering if I’d made a mistake booking something so far out. But honestly? Best decision I made for that trip.

The thing about this place is that it’s actually four separate luxury apartments, not your typical hotel setup, which means you get this whole family villa experience without the chaos of kids running through hallways at 6 AM. Each apartment is genuinely spacious – I mean, we’re talking room to spread out your luggage without playing Tetris with the furniture. The parking situation alone is worth mentioning because, you know what, finding a decent parking spot in Prague can be absolutely brutal, especially during summer when everyone and their cousin is visiting. Here, you just pull right up, no stress, no circling blocks hoping for a miracle.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Chuchle isn’t exactly the party district – it’s more residential, tree-lined streets, the kind of area where locals actually live their daily lives. You’re about a 15-minute tram ride from Wenceslas Square, which honestly feels perfect. Close enough that you’re not spending half your day commuting, but far enough that when you come back after a long day of walking those cobblestone streets (your feet will thank you for this distance, trust me), you can actually decompress. The tram connections are pretty solid too – locals use this route for their commutes, so it runs frequently.

The apartments themselves feel like someone actually lives there, not like they were decorated by a committee trying to offend absolutely no one. There’s attention to detail that you notice after a day or two – good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light, kitchen appliances that work the way they’re supposed to. I mean, the little things matter when you’re trying to make coffee before your brain fully boots up in the morning. The whole setup works especially well if you’re traveling with family or a group because everyone gets their own space, but you can still hang out together without feeling cramped.

Honestly, that 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be flashy or Instagram-perfect – it’s just really well-executed comfort. The kind of place where you start planning your next Prague trip before you’ve even checked out. During quieter months, especially late fall or early spring, this area has this almost village-like feel that’s pretty special. You’ll hear birds in the morning instead of traffic, which in a city like Prague feels like a genuine luxury.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Prague at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals and outdoor concerts.

  Location. Clean & large apartment (but small kitchen).
  
  What could be improved: It would be 10 but there is a construction outside so you can see workers and excavator. It did not really affect us as they work 9am-6pm but still not great. Once they finish work (probably another 1-2 months) people will really enjoy this stay and will be scoring 10.
