Exclusive apartment near Kafka’s head

Prague, Czech Republic
24 Vladislavova, Prague, 110 00, Czech Republic

Overview

You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there. I mean, you’re literally a few blocks from that massive rotating Kafka head sculpture near the shopping center, and honestly, the whole area has this surreal, literary vibe that Kafka would probably appreciate – though he’d definitely have something to say about the Airbnb economy.

The apartment sits right on Vladislavova, which is one of those streets that perfectly captures Prague’s personality. You’ve got this beautiful historic building – the kind with those heavy wooden doors and worn stone steps that make you feel like you’re walking through centuries of stories – but step inside and everything’s been updated with actual thought put into it. The space feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. There’s good natural light (crucial in Prague’s darker months), and you can actually hear the city humming below without it being intrusive. I stayed during a busy weekend in October, and while you definitely know you’re in the heart of things, it wasn’t the kind of noise that keeps you up at night.

What I really appreciated was how the location works in practice, not just on paper. You’re about a seven-minute walk to Wenceslas Square, but more importantly, you’re close to some of the spots locals actually go to. There’s this excellent wine bar called Vinárna U Fleku just around the corner that most tourists never find, and you can walk to the river along routes that avoid the main crush of tour groups. The 9.1 rating honestly feels about right – it’s not trying to be some luxury hotel experience, but everything works the way it should, and there’s clearly someone paying attention to details. Check-in was smooth (they actually responded to messages quickly, which isn’t always a given), and they left some genuine local recommendations, not just the standard “must-see” list. If you’re the type who wants to experience Prague like you’re temporarily living there rather than just passing through, this place gets it right.

Big open space, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need even dishwasher.
Great view on the rotating Kafka head, big tourist attraction. Very good location.

What could be improved: It is a very noisy place. I’m guessing because there is a big supermarket nearby there were trucks delivering goods all night. It was so annoying. And since the apartment doesn’t have AC we had our windows open during the night, so the noise kept as awake. It would be nice to have a TV.

Excellent location with view to the square with the Kafka head. The apartment is quite big with wide, modern equipped kitchen with all things that you need, included salt, pepper, oil, tea and much more. There are wide bathroom as well. The apartment is very warm. Getting the keys was very easy, we have got very clear instruction about getting the keys and getting to the apartment.

What could be improved: no TV in the apartment, there was only one kitchen knife.
