Esplanade Hotel Prague is a five-star hotel at Washingtonova 1600/19 in Prague 1, in a Secession (Art Nouveau) building that opened as a hotel in 1927, opposite the State Opera.

Location

The hotel stands in the New Town between the upper end of Wenceslas Square and the Main Railway Station. Wenceslas Square is about 300 metres away and the National Museum about 320 metres; Muzeum metro station, on lines A (green) and C (red), is next to the museum. Hlavní nádraží, the Main Railway Station, with its own stop on metro line C, is about 5 minutes on foot. Old Town Square is roughly 1 km away and Charles Bridge about 1.6 km. Václav Havel Airport is about 20 minutes by car.

The property

The 74 rooms and suites are air-conditioned, with standard rooms of about 25 m² and suites of about 35 m²; bathrooms are finished in Carrara marble. The hotel has The French Restaurant, serving French and Czech dishes, an all-day café with a summer terrace, and a bar. A breakfast buffet is served in a separate breakfast room. There is a 24-hour front desk and concierge service, and three meeting rooms hold up to 70 people. The building was last renovated in 2008.
