Overview

Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Prague over the years, and the Ericsson Palace really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. You know those hotels that look impressive online but feel sort of soulless when you actually walk through the door? This isn’t one of those. The moment you step into the lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cared about putting this place together, not just filling rooms with generic furniture and calling it luxury.

The location on Malé náměstí is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Prague rather than just visiting it. I mean, you’re literally on Lesser Town Square – which, despite the name, is way more charming than the main Old Town Square that’s always packed with tour groups. You can grab coffee at that little café right across the cobblestones (the one with the blue awning that locals actually use), and you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the base of Prague Castle. But here’s what I really love – you’re tucked away enough that you don’t get the constant noise of those horse-drawn carriages clattering by at all hours. The sounds you do hear are more like… well, actual city life. Church bells from St. Nicholas, maybe some laughter from the wine bar down the street.

The rooms themselves have this really nice balance – they’ve clearly been updated recently but they didn’t strip away all the character. The ceilings are high enough to make you feel grand without being cavernous, and honestly, the beds are some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in Central Europe. What surprised me was how quiet everything stays, even during peak summer season when Prague gets absolutely mobbed with tourists. I think it’s partly the thick walls (this building has some serious history), but also they just seem to run a tight ship without being stuffy about it. Check-in was smooth, staff knew their stuff about the neighborhood – like, they could tell you which tram to take to avoid the crowds, not just hand you a generic city map. The whole experience feels like what a four-star place should be: polished and professional, but with enough personality that you remember why you picked Prague over Vienna or Budapest. For what it’s worth, that 8.5 rating feels about right – it’s really good at what it does, just not trying to be something it’s not.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Prague at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous cultural festivals and outdoor concerts.

Location was exceptional, just off old town square. Plenty of room. Kitchen facilities.

What could be improved: You can take the elevator up 3 flights and then have to go up one flight of stairs, keep in mind if you have heavy luggage.

Excellent location and really comfortable apartment. Dominika provided a list of site and activites , restaurants, cafes and Bars to visit which was excellent.
They allowed a late check out as my son was on crutches which was greatly appreciated.

Location was perfect. Staff was very responsive.

What could be improved: Air conditional was only adequate most of the time. Didnt cool to desired temp but it was usually comfortable enough.
