You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Erbenova Apartments when I first rolled up to that quiet street in Prague 5, but this place actually surprised me. It’s tucked away on Erbenova street – and I mean really tucked away, which honestly turned out to be one of its best features. You’re far enough from the tourist chaos of Old Town that you can actually hear yourself think, but close enough that a quick tram ride gets you to Wenceslas Square without any drama.

The apartments themselves have this no-nonsense vibe that I really appreciated. Clean, functional spaces with decent-sized windows that let in proper light – something you don’t always get in Prague’s older buildings. The kitchenettes are small but they work (I made coffee every morning without wanting to throw anything), and the bathrooms are modern enough that you won’t feel like you’re camping. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything functions properly, and honestly, that matters more when you’re trying to figure out Czech public transport or nursing a hangover from too much Pilsner Urquell. The wifi actually works too, which – trust me – isn’t a given in this part of the city.

What I really liked was how the staff seemed to know their neighborhood. When I asked about getting to Kampa Island, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward the nearest tram stop – he told me about the walking path along the river that cuts through Smíchov, which ended up being way more interesting than the standard tourist route. The area itself is pretty residential, so you’ll see actual Praguers going about their day instead of just other travelers taking selfies. There’s a decent grocery store about two blocks away (Tesco, nothing fancy but it has everything), and this little hospoda around the corner that serves proper goulash without the inflated city center prices. I mean, the building isn’t winning any beauty contests from the outside – it’s got that practical Eastern European apartment block thing going on – but inside it’s been updated enough that you’re comfortable. Parking was surprisingly easy to find on the street, though I’d probably avoid driving in Prague altogether if you can help it. The 7.4 rating feels about right – it’s solid, reliable, and does what it says on the tin without any unpleasant surprises.

  Great location for a great price. Door opens with your mobile instead of a key, this was very useful with a group of friends. Clean and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: The shower and the toilet were not in a 100% shape, it was still usable, but broken. The floor felt weird at places. All of the noise coming from the corridor can be heard rather loudly.

  Location is great, you don't even need to use public transportation to get to the city center. Thanks to cemetery right over the street (which some might love, some might not) it's really quiet. Apartment is large, it can accommodate 9 people without problems. Looks nice and it's OK in general.
  
  What could be improved: Neighbors were noticeable, not sure if there is another apartment, but we heard music and talking pretty much all the time, with people going in and out even during the night, for lighter sleeper it might be a problem. There were also several small issues that were annoying (clogged shower drain, broken shower head, hole under the vinyl floor in the kitchen, falling toilet door handle, loose toiled seat). When removed (might be already fixed), it can be easily 10/10 accommodation.

  Great location with easy access to the old town either walking (+/- 40 mins) or the tram stop is near the apartment. The apartment was spacious and had plenty of comfortable beds for a family of five or a small group. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes we would have needed to cook during our stay.
  
  What could be improved: There weren’t any garbage bags or places to put things in the bathroom area, but besides that, would definitely recommend!

When paying the deposit it was mentioned that I will get my money back in the night, but when I wrote to property they said that they will return money in a week? So feels kinda like a scam to me, but oh well

  The apartment was spacious and comfy, ok for weekend stay for a bigger group. The door were opened via application shared before the arrival.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment's floor was not clean as well as the stairway in the building (might be due to the construction in the building?). The shower was not leveled, so the water was not draining properly.

  What could be improved: – the kitchen was poorly equipped: no forks, spoons, or knives, and only two plates.
  – the elevator stops between the floors, so one must take the stairs section to get on the elevator and another after getting off the elevator.
