Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Epstein Apartments on Benediktska Street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Prague. This four-star property sits right in the heart of the Old Town, and I mean literally — you’re steps away from everything that makes Prague magical. The building itself has that classic Central European charm, but what really struck me was how quiet the street feels despite being so central. It’s one of those addresses that locals know but tourists often miss.

The Perfect Prague Location

Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable. You’re a three-minute walk from Old Town Square, which means you can pop out for morning coffee and be back before the tour groups arrive. The Jewish Quarter is right around the corner, and Charles Bridge? Maybe five minutes if you walk slowly. What I really appreciated was being able to duck back to the apartment between sightseeing sessions — something you can’t do when you’re staying out in the suburbs. Couples especially seem to love this spot, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about having your own little Prague hideaway in such a historic neighborhood.

Apartment Living in the City Center

The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed flat than a typical hotel room. Each unit has its own character — mine had these gorgeous high ceilings and original hardwood floors that creaked just enough to remind you of the building’s history. The kitchen setup is actually functional, not just decorative like some places. I ended up making coffee there most mornings because, well, why not? The furnishings strike that sweet spot between modern comfort and respecting the building’s heritage. Nothing feels overly fancy, but everything works exactly as it should.

Practical Comforts

What surprised me most was how well-thought-out everything felt for actual living, not just sleeping. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout — important when you’re trying to research dinner spots or book tickets. Storage space is generous, which matters when you’re staying more than a night or two. The bathrooms are modern and well-maintained, though not huge — pretty standard for historic Prague buildings. One thing to note: this isn’t the kind of place with a concierge desk, but honestly, you don’t need one when you’re this central. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Why Guests Love It

The real magic here is the combination of independence and location that’s hard to find elsewhere in Prague’s center. You get your own space in a building that feels authentically local, but you’re close enough to everything that you never feel isolated. I noticed other guests seemed to be a mix of couples on romantic getaways and travelers who wanted more than just a hotel room for longer stays. The 7.7 rating feels about right — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers exactly what it promises. For the price point and location, you’d be hard-pressed to find better value in this part of Prague.

Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Prague through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich medieval heritage.

Good

The location was perfect! We had a slight problem with the hot water in the shower but they resolved it quickly.

What could be improved: The kitchen utensils could be better and cleaner but did their purpose.

Worth chosing to stay in this apartment

Apartment was nice, clean yeah, and it was nearby the city center.

What could be improved: picking up keys at some shop nearby was a task for itself, for someone who is with bags and first time in the city. Shower had issues with water drainage and it has to be quick shower otherwise you are standing in water. Pillows were there but so thin that you had to put towels or clothes underneath in order to be able to sleep so it was not that pleasant and comfortable.
