Elizabeth Suites

Prague, Czech Republic
24 Anglická, Prague, 120 00, Czech Republic

Overview

You know what struck me first about Elizabeth Suites? The building itself – it’s got this gorgeous Art Nouveau facade that actually makes you stop and look up from the sidewalk on Anglická. I mean, Prague’s full of beautiful architecture, but this one’s different. It sits in Vinohrady, which honestly is where I’d want to stay anyway – you’re close enough to walk to Wenceslas Square (maybe 15 minutes if you’re not dawdling), but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos of Old Town every time you step outside. The tram stop at Náměstí Míru is just a few blocks away, and that square – well, it’s where locals actually hang out. There’s this great little farmers market on Saturdays if you’re into that sort of thing.

The suites themselves feel properly spacious, which is refreshing after staying in some of Prague’s more, let’s say, “cozy” hotel rooms. They’ve got kitchenettes that are actually functional – not just a mini-fridge and a sad coffee maker, but real counter space where you could make breakfast if you wanted to skip the hotel’s spread. The bathrooms are modern without being sterile, and honestly, the water pressure is excellent (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue in older Prague buildings). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night. Anglická isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you’re not getting trams rumbling by at 6 AM or drunk tourists stumbling home. The windows are solid too – even with them open in summer, the street noise barely registers.

The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood, which makes a difference when you’re asking about where to grab dinner that isn’t a tourist trap. They pointed me toward this wine bar called Vinárna U Fleku – not the famous brewery one, just a tiny local spot around the corner where the owner pours natural Czech wines and tells stories. That’s the kind of recommendation you want, right? The 8.8 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, but everything works well, the location gives you options, and you feel like you’re staying somewhere with character rather than just another international chain. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevator’s a bit slow, but honestly, that’s half the charm of these older buildings. If you’re looking for something that feels authentically Prague but still gives you modern comfort, this hits that sweet spot.

To book a hotel in Prague during the famous Easter Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.

The most important for me was the location. It is unbelievable. Everything is within walking distance, a lot of cute cafes for morning coffee lovers. The stuff was nice and helpful, and Varvara was welcoming at the check-in. Due to the location, public transport was easy to access, allowing an easy journey from and to the airport and around the city.

Everything went smoothly and nice. Although I had no time to use kitchen facilities. The room was equipped with everything necessary for cooking (fridge, stove, etc). Good location. Room has everything for an ice comfortable stay.
