EA Embassy Prague Hotel Overview

So I’ve been staying at the EA Embassy Prague Hotel on Petrská Street for a few visits now, and honestly? It’s become my go-to spot when I’m in the city. The building itself has this understated elegance thing going on – you know, not flashy, but you can tell they put thought into the details. Walking in, there’s this immediate sense of calm that’s actually pretty rare in Prague’s busier hotel scene.

What really sold me on this place is how it sits in the neighborhood. Petrská is one of those streets that feels authentically Prague without being overrun with tourist groups dragging suitcases at 7 AM (though you’ll still hear some tram noise if you’re a super light sleeper). You’re basically a stone’s throw from the Powder Tower and Old Town, but tucked away enough that you can actually get some decent sleep. I mean, I’ve walked to Wenceslas Square from here in about ten minutes, which is perfect when you want to be close to everything but not right in the middle of the chaos. The staff – and this might sound minor but it’s not – actually remember you after a night or two. The front desk team speaks solid English, but they’ll also help you with those Czech phrases you’re inevitably going to butcher.

The rooms themselves are what I’d call “thoughtfully modern” – they’ve clearly renovated without going overboard on trendy stuff that’ll look dated in five years. Good lighting (finally, a hotel that gets it), decent shower pressure, and the beds are actually comfortable, not just expensive-looking. I’ve noticed they keep the AC at a reasonable level, which is clutch during those surprisingly warm Prague summers. The breakfast setup is solid too – not some sad continental spread, but proper local options mixed with the usual international fare. One thing that surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re still pretty central. I think it’s because Petrská doesn’t get much through-traffic, just people who actually need to be on that street.

Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – Prague’s old city wasn’t exactly designed for cars – but they’ll point you toward decent options nearby. The neighborhood has this great mix of local pubs and restaurants that haven’t been completely touristified yet, plus you’ve got that beautiful Art Nouveau Municipal House just a few blocks over. During Christmas market season, you’re close enough to enjoy it but far enough that you won’t be dealing with the crowds every time you want to leave your hotel. I’d definitely book this place again, and I’ve already recommended it to a couple friends who were planning Prague trips. It’s one of those hotels where you can tell they’re trying to do things right, not just fill rooms.

The concierge service in Prague can arrange exclusive tours of Prague Castle, secure reservations at traditional beer halls, and organize personalized visits to Charles Bridge and the UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

    Good location of downtown area.

What could be improved: Parking lot limited. And have to park my car far from hotel.

  • Ardjan from Albania – 26 March 2025 (9/10)

  • Domenico from Spain – 11 March 2025 (8/10)

    Good location! Definitely good price.

What could be improved: The person who received us at the reception wasn’t the most cordial person you’ll ever meet in Prague.

  • Curiorifica from Spain – 7 March 2025 (9/10)

The bed was very comfortable and the staff very friendly and polite. Also the building itself is pretty and we'll maintained.

What could be improved: Mineral water in the room was way too expensive…

  • Burhan from Turkey – 24 February 2025 (8/10)

The location is great, and the breakfast is good.

What could be improved: They only provided one towel at first and brought the rest after we asked—not ideal for a 4-star hotel. Also, the receptionist told us to find the electricity card in the room instead of giving it at check-in, which was a bit confusing. But in the end, everything was sorted easily.

  • Martina from Slovakia – 16 February 2025 (9/10)

A very satisfactory stay. The hotel is designed in a very nice way, the room was comfortable, quiet, excellent mattress, modern bathroom, all very clean. The breakfast was wonderful, many options, the staff always friendly and helpful. And the location is perfect.
