You know what caught me off guard about EA ApartHotel Melantrich? Walking into this place, you’d never guess from the outside that it’s actually pretty sophisticated inside. I mean, it’s sitting right there on Wenceslas Square – which, honestly, can feel a bit touristy and chaotic during the day – but once you’re through those doors, there’s this immediate sense of calm that hits you.

The apartment-style setup is what really makes this place work, especially if you’re staying more than just a night or two. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel rooms with a sad little kettle in the corner. We’re talking proper kitchenettes with actual counter space, which became a lifesaver when we wanted to grab fresh bread from that little bakery on Jindřišská Street (just a two-minute walk) and have a real breakfast instead of paying hotel prices. The living areas have this modern Czech design thing going on – clean lines, warm woods, nothing too flashy but definitely feels like somewhere you’d want to hang out. And the beds… well, let’s just say I slept better than I had in weeks.

What I really appreciated – and this might sound weird – is how they’ve managed the noise situation. I was honestly worried about being right on the square, especially during summer when the outdoor terraces get going, but the windows do their job. You can still hear the city humming below, which I actually liked, but it’s not keeping you awake at 2 AM. The staff seems to get that people staying here aren’t just passing through for one night; they’re setting up a little temporary life in Prague, so they’re helpful with things like where to find a proper grocery store (there’s a Tesco about five minutes toward the Museum), or which tram will actually get you to the castle without the tourist markup. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no hovering or upselling, just “here’s your key, here’s how everything works, let us know if you need anything.” That 8.5 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Prague, but it absolutely nails what it’s supposed to be. Perfect for when you want to feel like you’re living in the city center without paying Old Town prices or dealing with the chaos of staying right in the thick of tourist central.

  Near to supermarket, shops, walking distance to the old town and other tourist attractions. Perfect location. Hotel is very clean, spacious. Staff are very friendly, they will assist you on everything.

  The location of the hotel was excellent. It took 40mins from airport to hotel. We used first bus then metro and when we exit the metro, the hotel was just outside. The receptionist was very helpful and similing. The heat of the room was great. I can say that we were sweating rather than feeling cold.

  The location is perfect, you're close to plenty of sights, and it's very walkable to public transportation. This hotel is an excellent value for the comfort and amenities, especially with the small kitchen and included utensils. You have control over the heat in the room, which was helpful as we stayed in January.
  
  What could be improved: There is no bathroom trash can or storage, which can be inconvenient for longer stays. Otherwise, perfect!

  The rooms were spacious and incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The location was excellent, with easy access to public transportation and within walking distance to the charming old town and the train station. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for convenience and comfort!

  The location was amazing. Right in Wenceslas square and walkable to every single thing we had planned to do! Secure underground valet parking was available to reserve for 35€/day and was worth it. Cleaning staff was super friendly and attentive. Reception staff also very friendly and helpful. It was very nice having a small kitchen to use for simple meals. The refrigerator even had a small freezer to re-freeze the ice packs we brought which allowed us to pack perishables on the way home. There was a dishwasher but no tabs or detergent. I wish it was provided or that I would have known so I could have brought some with us. Overall great stay!
