I loved that you can walk to Petřin Hill in about eight minutes if you need to escape the crowds, or duck into one of those tiny wine bars on Nerudova Street when the Charles Bridge gets too circus-like. The location means you’re essentially living like a local in Malá Strana, which is something most visitors never get to experience. You’ll find yourself grocery shopping at the little market near the tram stop and nodding hello to the same cafe owner every morning – it’s that kind of neighborhood. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s the kind of place that makes you protective, like you don’t want to tell too many people about it because then it might get too popular and lose that insider feel.
