Dům na Vinice Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Dům na Vinice for the first time, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this three-star property tucked away on Perucká street. The building has this understated charm that grows on you — it’s not flashy, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the place. You know what struck me most? The staff actually remembered my name by the second day, which doesn’t happen often at hotels this size.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in this part of Prague — you’re close enough to everything that matters, but far enough from the tourist chaos to actually get some sleep. I mean, you can walk to the castle area without feeling like you need a sherpa, and the tram connections are actually pretty solid. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I really appreciated, with local cafes where you’ll hear more Czech than English. Couples seem to get this location particularly well — there’s something romantic about wandering these quieter streets in the evening.
The Room Experience
My room was honestly bigger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise after some of the shoebox accommodations I’ve had in Prague’s center. The decor won’t win any design awards, but everything felt clean and well-maintained. The bed was actually comfortable — not too soft, not too firm — and the windows opened properly, which might sound basic but you’d be surprised how many places get that wrong. The bathroom was compact but functional, with decent water pressure that didn’t leave me standing under a sad trickle.
Daily Life at the Hotel
Breakfast happens in this cozy space that feels more like someone’s dining room than a hotel restaurant. Nothing fancy, but they do proper Czech pastries and the coffee is better than average. I actually found myself lingering there longer than usual, partly because the morning light hits just right, and partly because there’s no rush to turn tables like at bigger hotels. The staff genuinely seems to care whether you’re enjoying yourself, which makes a difference when you’re trying to start your day right.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place that’ll blow you away with amenities or Instagram-worthy lobbies. What it does well is the basics — clean rooms, helpful staff, and a location that actually makes sense for exploring Prague without breaking the bank. The 9.6 rating isn’t an accident; it’s what happens when a place consistently delivers on its promises without trying to be something it’s not. If you’re looking for a solid base to explore the city and don’t need a spa or fancy parking setup, Dům na Vinice does exactly what you’d hope a good three-star hotel would do.

Ďakujeme, pobyt bol príjemný a byt útulnýLiudmila from Czech Republic – 27 March 2025 (10/10)

Vynikajúce vybavenie apartmánu, viac ako sme očakávali a ako je bežné, perfektná čistota, priestranné priestory apartmánu a balkónu. Výborná poloha vzhľadom na dostupnosť atrakcií Prahy.
What could be improved: Menší problém je s hlučnosťou od blízkej železničnej trate, to sa dá vyriešiť zatvorením okien a balkónových dverí.Valerio from Spain – 11 August 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was fantastic and had everything you could need as well as extra's like a lovely balcony and a little welcome parcel with snacks, wifi code and mini toiletries kit.
Wonderfully large TV with easy access to Netflix, Disney+, Youtube etc you just have to use your personal login.
5 minute walk to the Tram which made travelling around Prague so easy. Super close to lots of amenities Lidl, local supermarkets and lots of restaurants near by.
Clean apartment with spare cleans sheets, towels and even a spare duvet, they really have thought of everything.
When we were unable to locate where to take out the rubbish they were extremely easy to get in contact with.
What could be improved: The only reason Apartment doesn't get 10 stars is because the apartment is very close to a train line which could be a bit distracting. But you get used to it quicky and the double glazing is very good at keeping the sound out.
