Overview

First Impressions

Walking into DownTown Suites Andel, you immediately get that feeling of \”okay, this is actually pretty nice.\” It’s one of those four-star places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies, but everything just feels… right. The staff genuinely seems happy to see you, and honestly, after a long day of travel, that matters more than you’d think.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s the thing about staying in Prague — location is everything, and this place nailed it. You’re in Smíchov, which I know sounds intimidating if you don’t speak Czech, but it’s actually one of the best-connected neighborhoods in the city. The Anděl metro station is practically next door, which means you can be in Old Town Square in about 15 minutes. What I really appreciate is that you get that local neighborhood vibe — there are actual Czechs living around here, not just tourists stumbling around with maps.

The Suites

The room situation here is where things get interesting. These aren’t just hotel rooms — they’re proper suites with separate living areas and little kitchenettes that actually work. I mean, you’re not going to cook a five-course meal, but making coffee in the morning or storing some groceries? Totally doable. The beds are comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile. Plus, there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase, which is rarer than it should be in European hotels.

Practical Perks

You know what’s surprisingly hard to find in Prague? Decent parking. This place has private parking on-site, which honestly might save your sanity if you’re driving. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building — I tested it because hotel Wi-Fi can be hit or miss. There’s also a small fitness area that’s nothing fancy but gets the job done if you need to work off all that Czech beer and goulash.

Why Guests Love It

The location score speaks for itself — 9.2 out of 10 isn’t something you see every day. Couples especially seem to love this place, and I get why. It’s got that sweet spot of being close enough to everything important but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually relax. The Nový Smíchov shopping center is right there if you need anything, and the riverside walks along the Vltava are perfect for those romantic Prague moments. Plus, the value is solid — you’re getting suite-style accommodations in a prime location without paying Old Town prices.

Best city trip i had in Europe

Location was awesome. 1 min subway exit, 5 mins from nearest mall. Plenty of restaurants Great bakery nearby and also supermarket. I also booked parking and that didn't work straight away, but after calling the accommodation it was fixed fast. Parking is also really safe and underground with gates. Normally in any big city a must but i really felt quite safe and Prague has a great atmosphere. The appartment itself is brand new and really spacious. Everything is there fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and beds also good. Overall would surely come back

What could be improved: Nothing bad really but a small tip. We travel with children and small vacuum cleaner would be nice. That's all Keep it up it was great

Highly recommend!

We stayed at one of the apartments during our visit in Prague at Easter. The building is situated in a perfect location, close to metro station and tram stops, with two grocery stores and a bakery less than a five minute walk away. Very spacious, very clean, with fully furnished kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised by a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the living room as a welcome gift from the owner for being the very first guests at the apartment, which was a lovely gesture! We had an amazing time in the city and if I ever visit Prague again, I’m definitely choosing to stay at DownTown Suites. :)

Exceptional

Location. Cleanliness. Well equipped kitchen . Parking.

What could be improved: Parking access. The parking facility didn't have enough signs.to direct to exit....no arrows ..nothing. ...it was stressful to get out. As the phone to call in order to open door didn't work right away.
