You know what caught me off guard about this place? The moment I walked into this apartment on Rybná Street, I actually gasped at the view. I mean, the Týn Cathedral towers are literally right there – like, you could probably hit them with a paper airplane from the living room window. And honestly, after staying in countless Prague apartments where “cathedral view” means you can glimpse a spire if you crane your neck just right, this was refreshing.

The location is pretty brilliant if you know Prague at all. Rybná runs parallel to the main tourist drag, so you’re maybe a two-minute walk from Old Town Square, but you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups under your windows. I stayed here in July (probably the worst time for crowds) and while the square was absolute chaos during the day, the apartment felt surprisingly peaceful. The AC was a godsend too – most Prague apartments just give you a fan and hope for the best, but this place actually keeps you comfortable when those summer afternoons hit 30°C.

What I really appreciated were the little details that show someone actually thought about how people live, not just where they sleep. The kitchen has proper coffee gear (not just instant packets), there’s decent wifi throughout all three bedrooms, and the bathroom actually has water pressure – which, if you’ve stayed in old Prague buildings, you know isn’t guaranteed. The furnishing feels modern but not sterile, sort of like staying at a friend’s place who has their life together. I will say the building itself is old (this is Prague, after all), so there are some creaky floors and the elevator is… well, let’s call it vintage. But that’s part of the charm, really. The check-in was smooth enough – they met us at the apartment, showed us how everything worked, and didn’t rush off immediately like some places do.

What sealed it for me was sitting on the couch around sunset with a beer from the Tesco down the street, watching the light hit those Gothic spires. You’re in the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, but you’re not crammed into a hotel room or dealing with paper-thin walls. The rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be the Four Seasons, but it delivers exactly what it promises and then some. If you’re traveling with friends or family and want space to actually spread out while staying right in the action, this hits the sweet spot.
