Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked up to 987 Design Prague Hotel on Senovazne Namesti – the name sounds a bit corporate, you know? But the moment you step inside, it’s clear someone actually thought about what travelers want. The lobby has this clean, minimalist thing going on without feeling cold or sterile, and the staff at check-in were genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. What really caught my attention was how they’ve managed to create something modern while respecting that you’re in Prague – no fake castle nonsense, just thoughtful design that works.

The location is honestly perfect if you want to actually experience the city rather than just Instagram it. You’re right on Senovazne Namesti, which puts you maybe a seven-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds every time you leave the hotel. There’s a great little coffee place called Café Savoy about ten minutes away if you walk toward the river – locals actually go there, which tells you something. The tram connections are solid too; the Muzeum stop is close enough that getting around Prague is pretty effortless. I mean, you could walk to most places you’d want to see, but after a day of cobblestones, you’ll appreciate having options.

What sets this place apart from other four-star hotels in Prague is the attention to details that actually matter. The rooms are well soundproofed – and trust me, in a city center location, that’s huge. The beds are genuinely comfortable, not just expensive-looking, and they’ve got proper blackout curtains that actually block light. The bathrooms have decent water pressure and don’t feel cramped, which is more than you can say for a lot of European hotels. There’s also proper air conditioning, which might not seem like a big deal until you’re visiting during a Prague summer heat wave. The WiFi works throughout the building without constantly dropping out, and there are enough outlets positioned where you’d actually want to use them. Sometimes it’s the unglamorous stuff that makes or breaks a stay, and 987 gets that. The breakfast is solid – nothing revolutionary, but fresh ingredients and enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several days. It’s the kind of place where you could comfortably base yourself for exploring Prague without feeling like you’re either slumming it or paying for amenities you’ll never use.

  Great location, perfect breakfast easily compared with five-star hotels,quiet neighbourhood.
  What i didn't like is that when I made reservation I chosed "pay when you stay" nonrefundable option . My credit card was fully charged even after they authorized my credit card. I had contacted hotel and their reply was, since you made nonrefundable option we charged you total amount for your stay.

  Room compact & adequate, bed very comfortable, no noice from outside & very powerful shower, rituals shampoo, conditioner & body wash & lotions all provide, water delivered to room and clean towels daily. Location terrific – easy walk into the hub of this amazing city. Public transportation close by. Absolutely delicious breakfast – great choice – hot & cold. Staff of very friendly & helpful

  The hotel's location is perfect, we know the area due to last December we stayed at the NH Collection Carlo IV which it's across the street. The rooms are very nice, cozy.
  
  What could be improved: The only problem thing and it's a major problem the tram 🚊 runs in front of the hotel. It is all the time and you feel it is in your room. If you have a room to the back yard it is OK. We whrer heading to the street view it was unbearable.

  The breakfast selection is truly exceptional! The reception staff was also very attentive and the bed was nice.
  
  What could be improved: The baby crib didn't really have a matress, it was super thin and you could feel the metal from the bottom. We had to improvise and use whatever we could find to build a better cussion for our baby. We could make it work for the one night.
  And one of the lights had their own mind as it kept going on and off randomly.
