Cute 1bedroom center apartment Overview
Honestly, when I first walked up to 29 Truhlářská, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside – it’s one of those classic Prague buildings that looks pretty standard until you get inside. But you know what? This little one-bedroom really surprised me. The location is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re living in Prague rather than just visiting it. You’re right in the heart of the Old Town, but on a quieter street that doesn’t get the crazy tourist crowds that swarm Wenceslas Square.
The apartment itself has that cozy, lived-in feeling that makes you want to settle in for more than just a night or two. I mean, it’s not fancy – we’re talking 3-star comfort here – but everything works, and there’s something charming about the way it’s set up. The bedroom gets good morning light (which I actually appreciated after some late nights exploring Prague’s beer scene), and the little kitchen has enough space to make proper coffee and maybe even attempt some shopping from the local markets. The bathroom’s small but functional – honestly, you’ll probably be out exploring most of the time anyway. One thing I really liked was how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you’re so close to everything. The building seems solid, and I barely heard any street noise even with the windows open.
What really makes this place work is how it drops you right into actual Prague life. There’s a great little café about two minutes’ walk down Truhlářská that serves proper Czech breakfast (and the owner speaks decent English if your Czech is as terrible as mine was). You can walk to the Astronomical Clock in maybe eight minutes, but more importantly, you’re close to some fantastic restaurants that aren’t tourist traps – I stumbled onto this amazing traditional place just around the corner that I never would have found if I’d stayed in the hotel district. The tram connections are solid too, though honestly, you can walk to most of the major sights from here. I did notice the area gets a bit busier during summer evenings when people are heading to dinner, but it’s nothing overwhelming. The check-in was straightforward, and while the building doesn’t have an elevator (fair warning if you’re hauling big suitcases), it’s only a couple floors up. For the price point and that 8.4 rating, this little apartment really delivers on giving you an authentic Prague experience without breaking the bank.
To book a hotel in Prague during the famous Easter Market season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and architecture lovers from around the world.

Our stay has been veey enjoyable and satisfy, apartment is very closed to attractions and shops, communivation with host – Brenda from United Kingdom – 21 October 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: NaI would stay there again because of the location – Polina from United States – 27 May 2024 (9/10)
The location was excellent, walking distance to main attractions, restaurants, transportation, shops. The staff went above and beyond helping us to retrieve a forgotten item
What could be improved: The appartment is small, we were 3 people and it was tight, no room to place a drying rackGood – Ioanna from Greece – 21 November 2023 (7/10)
Good location, clean and spacious apartment for 3 people.
What could be improved: There wasn’t enough toilet paper, no paper towel in the bathroom and when we needed to communicate with the owner we were continuously sent to the voicemail which was in czech, impossible for someone not knowing the language to understand.Superb – Paula from Finland – 15 April 2025 (9/10)
The location of the apartment was excellent and the building itself was quiet. You could walk everywhere. It was easy to chat with the staff and they resbonded my messages quite quickly. We really enjoyed and had a great time.
Generally, I am very satisfied, since the appartment was clean and spacious. – Ilias from Greece – 27 May 2024 (9/10)
Great
What could be improved: The lights in the bedroom were out of function, which made my stay less comfortable. Please repair it as soon as possible in order to make next visitor's stay easier. Apart from that, everything that has to do with the appartment was perfect. I really thank you.Good – Nicholas from United Kingdom – 2 October 2023 (7/10)
Had all the basic facilities you need
Exceptional – Cristina from United Kingdom – 21 August 2024 (10/10)
The location is perfect
Overall rather disappointing in spite of excellent location – Dominik from Germany – 16 April 2024 (6/10)
The location of this small one-bedroom apartment is excellent. Located near old-town disctrict and in walking distance of the main square this is a big plus. Bed was comfortable and also the convertable sofa-bed seemed rather comfy (my friend approved). Separate beds were prepared as requested prior to the trip (NB: the staff was very helpful and kind overall). Kitchen is well equipped with all necessary utensils. Fridge, dishwasher as well as washing machine are available and seem to function just fine. Check-in and getting the keys was easy and simple – check-out was equally hassle-free.
What could be improved: Overall, we were rather disappointed and the experience stopped a little bit short of meeting our initial expectations. Here is why: first of all, the apartment is pretty small. Especially when the sofa bed is converted into a bed (on the positive side it can be converted to a proper bed, which is a plus of course). But the giggest drawback for us was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the apartment, which is particularly bad for non-smokers that are sensitive towards the smell of old cigarette smoke. While the apartment itself is smoking-free, I believe, the inner courtyard (which is the only window side that can be opened for "ventilation") seems to be used as a smokign area by neighbours of the building. There are smokers throughout the day, so proper ventilation is not an option. I personally found this super uncomfortable and a little disgusting, while admittedly, as a non-smoker, I am also very sensitive towards this smell and easily disturbed . Secondly, while the apartment itself does not seem dated and worn-out at first, it seems like very low-quality materials have been used to equip the apartment overall. Some examples: the shower doors are sort of loose and dont close properly, the towel rack in the bathroom (electric plug-in) comes off easily, scratches and marks on all walls etc. High maintenance is needed already, while the apartment does not seem old at all. This all leads to me the conclusions that I would not recommend this accommodation for a stay longer than two nights and certainly not for a couple that seeks a romantic getaway. For friends that mainly just looking for a place to "sleep" for a couple nights and can't be bothered easily this is perfectly fine however. Not the best place – Paula from Italy – 27 May 2025 (4/10)
The location is super
What could be improved: The place is really small and dark. But the worst thing is the smell either of smoke or dust. It should be renovated. We expected something better by the pictures.
The host offers discounts on good reviews. However, we need to be honest with people who would like to visit.Très bon séjour à Prague – Mathilde from France – 6 May 2025 (8/10)
La proximité avec la vieille ville de Prague
What could be improved: L’appartement était un peu humide mais il y avait un équipement pour lutter contre cela nous n’avons pas su le faire fonctionner
