Overview

Honestly, when I first walked into Crown Palace Apartments, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name – it sounds a bit grand, maybe even cheesy? But you know what, it actually lives up to it. The building sits right on Wenceslas Square, which means you’re literally in the heart of everything Prague has to offer. I mean, step outside and you’re already where most tourists spend half their day trying to get to.

The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a really well-appointed Prague flat than a typical hotel room. There’s something satisfying about having actual counter space and a proper kitchen – even if you end up just using it for morning coffee and storing leftover goulash from that place around the corner on Vodičkova Street. The rooms have this sort of elegant, understated thing going on, with high ceilings that remind you you’re in a historic building without feeling like you’re sleeping in a museum. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re basically on Prague’s version of Times Square. They’ve done something right with the windows because the tram noise that you’d expect just… isn’t really there.

The location thing can’t be overstated – sure, everyone says that about hotels, but this is different. You can walk to Old Town Square in maybe eight minutes if you’re dawdling and taking photos. The metro entrance at Muzeum is right there when your feet give out from all the cobblestones. And here’s something I didn’t expect: grocery shopping is actually convenient. There’s a Tesco down Národní Street that’s perfect for grabbing basics, plus you’re close enough to the little specialty shops in the Jewish Quarter when you want something more interesting. The staff seemed to actually know Prague too – not just the tourist stuff, but they pointed me toward this excellent wine bar on Skořepka that I never would have found otherwise. Parking is… well, it’s Prague city center, so expensive and complicated, but they’ll sort you out if you really need it. I’d honestly just skip the car entirely if you can manage it.

Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Prague through local agencies that offer personalized recommendations and insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for exploring the city’s rich medieval heritage.

Great size of room with kitchenette and modern bathroom.
Bed was a great size and very comfy.
Was glad to see things like irons etc provided as standard.
Very good value for money

What could be improved: I booked last minute so had to wait over an hour to get sent the code to get in as it is unstaffed.
Tried to call them on the contact number and was a automated response saying they were busy and they would call me back. I am still waiting 3 days after I checked out for that phone call.

Couldn't get the A/C to work so found it very warm through the night

Perfect location, a quiet room, equiped kitchen, super clean and for a good price. I will have this accomodation in mind next time I travel to Prague

What could be improved: The registration part is a little bit too much, sending a photo of my passport... and when i returned from dinner back to the studio, the whole hallway reeked of marihuana

It is really in the city center. The apartment was very clean, safe, has some technologic features such as doors with passcode, automatic toilet, etc. Room was big enough for short stays. Very comfortable bed etc.

What could be improved: If you are staying longer than 5 days there is 1 time room cleaning service. Otherwise if you want your room to be cleaned, its 15€s each time.
