Cozy Homestay at Prague Main Station Overview
First Impressions
The Cozy Homestay at Prague Main Station honestly caught me off guard — in the best way possible. I mean, when you hear “main station,” you’re probably thinking noise and chaos, but this four-star gem sits on a quiet side street that feels worlds away from the hustle. The building itself has that classic Prague charm with its historic facade, and you know what? The moment you step inside, it’s clear someone put real thought into making this feel like an actual home rather than just another tourist crash pad.
Location That Actually Makes Sense
Here’s the thing about staying near Prague’s main train station — it’s actually brilliant if you know the area. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Wenceslas Square, and I found myself wandering into the Old Town in about fifteen minutes on foot. The location score of 8.7 isn’t just marketing fluff; this spot genuinely puts you in the heart of Prague without the tourist trap pricing of hotels right on the square. Plus, if you’re arriving by train or need to catch early flights, well, you can’t beat the convenience.
The Room Experience
My room had this perfect balance of modern comfort and local character that’s honestly hard to find these days. The space felt generous — not cramped like some Prague accommodations I’ve tried — and the attention to detail was impressive. Think quality linens, thoughtful lighting, and little touches that made it clear this wasn’t some cookie-cutter setup. The windows actually opened properly (you’d be surprised how rare that is), and the soundproofing was solid despite being so close to the station.
What Sets It Apart
The “homestay” part of the name isn’t just clever marketing — there’s a genuine warmth here that larger hotels miss completely. The staff actually remembers your name, and they’re locals who can point you toward the good stuff tourists usually miss. I got recommendations for a fantastic traditional Czech restaurant just around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise. The common areas have this lived-in comfort that makes you want to linger over coffee rather than just rush out for sightseeing.
Why Guests Love It
That 7.4 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed here — it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. Couples especially seem to appreciate the intimate atmosphere and the fact that you can actually have a conversation without competing with lobby noise. The value proposition is solid too; you’re getting four-star comfort and service at prices that won’t destroy your Prague budget. It’s become my go-to recommendation for friends visiting the city, especially those who want to experience Prague like locals rather than just tick off tourist boxes.

Reviews of Cozy Homestay at Prague Main Station
Our stay is just okay – Irene from New Zealand – 5 July 2025 (7/10)
Location is what I expected and close to train station
What could be improved: The building upon entering you find ground floor empty a stair going to an iron bar door before going to different rooms in the first level a bit uncommon to me. We stayed one night the room was okay but not used to this kind of accommodationGood – Sophia from Hong Kong – 22 June 2025 (7/10)
Room is big enough and location is good
What could be improved: Air conditioner and fan not working, very hot at roomReasonable – Helena from Germany – 3 March 2025 (6/10)
The apartment is located right next to the central station and only 20 minutes walking to the old town – the location is amazing.
Regarding the apartment is very simple but good for a maximum of 6 persons and the price was ok for the conditions.
What could be improved: – The communication with the host was awful. Instructions were not correct, no one answered to messages and emails and we had to call via WhatsApp to have some instructions to do the check in. We expected way more communication.
– The bathroom left a lot to be desired. Toilet without a top and cleaning utensils placed in a corner of the bathroom.
– Being an apartment for a maximum of 6 people, the fact that was only one set of keys didn’t help. At least two sets of keys was the minimum.
– Noise from other roomsGood – Sun from United Kingdom – 17 October 2024 (7/10)
The location is perfect, right next to the train station. It is easy to check in. The facilities are great.
What could be improved: The host is not so responsive, especially after you check in.Heatwave in Prague – Pete from United Kingdom – 24 July 2024 (7/10)
It was ok
What could be improved: The homeless drug addicts living opposite making lots of noise arguing with each other
Taxis would only pick up round the corner
Air conditioning did not work properly
The floor in the bathroom was very slippy when wet
We did not get the wifi password for 2 days after messaging 4 times
The apartment was very modern and nice but extremely hotWe were very happy with the appointment and knowing how it all works, we’d use this place again. – Marzena from Poland – 22 June 2024 (7/10)
The location was simple perfect! Close to the railway station and the old town square. The property was clean and sufficiently comfortable.
What could be improved: I had a big problem with contacting the property on the day of arrival and prior to. They never replied to messages and when I was trying to reach them over the phone, the number was not connected. I ended up calling booking.com customer service. During the stay I needed an iron ( it was supposed to be in the apartment) and I wasn’t able to get a hold of the office. I had to give up.Very good – Peter from Australia – 27 May 2024 (8/10)
The apartment was comfortable and clean, and its location by the station was excellent.
What could be improved: The apartment was quite small for three people.
The shower drainage was very poor and caused flooding in the bathroom.
We had a problem with access to the apartment on our last day, due to a fault in the blue chip entry system.Very good – Masha from United States – 25 April 2024 (8/10)
The lication is great, the beds are comfortable and the apartment was very clean.
For 2 days.. enought… – Herminio from Spain – 11 December 2023 (7/10)
The best thing about the apartment is the location in the city, very central and next to the station, buses and train… Cleanliness is good…
What could be improved: The worst thing is the lack of utensils in the kitchen, the Wi-Fi didn't work either and we had to complain to the owner… The owner only answers the messages that interest him… You can ask him many questions, but he doesn't answer you or you He answers in Vietnamese… the information he gives to enter the accommodation is insufficient… He simply gives you two photos and he thinks that is enough… Furthermore, the information he gives you is not correct and it took us more than 30 minutes to access to the apartment… Having to call him to inform him of the problem… We were six people, but the apartment only had three chairs… the stay was not at all bad… but it is true that the towels he left us for the service were very small and they were not useful for showering… the apartment is good, but it has many things to improve…Very good – Marcelo from Chile – 20 September 2023 (8/10)
I would have expected more details about how to get into the building, It was confusing. Besides that, all was perfect.
