You know what really surprised me about this place? The moment I walked up to 17 Nekázanka, I wasn’t expecting much from the narrow cobblestone street – honestly, it looks like every other tucked-away corner in Prague’s Old Town. But then you get inside, and there’s this immediate sense that someone actually lives here, or at least designed it like they do.

The terrace is what sold me, and I mean really sold me. Most Prague accommodations at this price point stick you with a view of someone else’s bathroom window, but here you’re looking out over those red-tiled rooftops that make the city look like a fairy tale postcard. I spent way too many mornings out there with coffee, watching the city wake up – you can actually hear the trams rumbling along Národní třída in the distance, which sounds annoying but somehow becomes this comforting urban lullaby. The whole setup feels more like crashing at a design-savvy friend’s place than staying in typical tourist lodging. The furniture has that mid-century modern thing going on without being pretentious about it, and there are actual books on the shelves (in multiple languages, which was a nice touch).

Location-wise, you’re golden but not obvious about it. Nekázanka is one of those streets tourists walk past without really noticing, but you’re literally three minutes from Wenceslas Square and maybe seven from the Astronomical Clock – close enough that you can duck back for a nap between sightseeing sessions. What I really appreciated was being just far enough from the main drag that you don’t get the constant stream of drunk bachelor parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel; there’s a little grocery store at the corner where the owner started recognizing me after day two, and you’ll see actual Prague residents going about their business instead of just other travelers. Parking is typical Prague nightmare stuff, but honestly, you don’t need a car here anyway. The 3-star rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but everything works properly and someone clearly thought about the details. I’d say the 8.2 rating makes sense too; it’s genuinely good at what it does, though the shower pressure could be better and the walls are a bit thin (you might hear your neighbors’ conversations, but it’s not unbearable). I’d definitely stay again, especially if I wanted that homey feeling while still being in the thick of things.

  Lovely cute little unit in a very good location about half way between main train station and old town. Only 15 mins walk to charles bridge. Facilites were good with everything needed supplied.
  
  What could be improved: Check in was difficult. Check in information was not supplied in advance and we had to contact host who then supplied lock box code – this should have been provided prior to our arrival.
  Loft bed was slightly awkward to access – would be no good if you had any mobility issues and the pillows were not very good (small and lumpy).

  Comfortable apartment in very good location. Nice furniture, very clean place with all neccessary equipment.
  
  What could be improved: Poor contact with host (he didn't answer for my messages via Booking or SMS). Although I asked about extra sheet for second bed I didn't get it. The process of checking in and getting keys was sent me the same day we came to apartment using Whatsapp. I didn't feel comfortable with the lack of contact. The apartment is cute, but really small, with small space to sleep upstairs. Better for one person, I cannot imagine 3 persons here.

  What could be improved: We had to wait out in the cold late at night on Christmas Eve because the host did not provide information about how to access the property (it was self check in) and did not respond to any messages. We tried calling multiple listed numbers for the property and received automated messages that the number was not available/disconnected. We booked in advance and had advised of our arrival time. It took hours to get a response to our messages. When we finally managed to get in contact with the host, no apology was offered.

  The accommodation lived up to our expectations. Clean, comfortable, cozy. Convenient location. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the station and the center. There was an opportunity to prepare the necessary food. Thanks to the owner for the good living conditions.
