Cloister Inn Hotel

Capital City of Prague, Czechia
Konviktska 14, Prague, 110 00, Czech Republic

Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to the Cloister Inn Hotel on Konviktska Street, you immediately get why this place has such a strong reputation with couples. The building itself has that understated Prague charm — not flashy, but there’s something genuinely welcoming about the entrance that makes you feel like you’ve found a real gem. I mean, when you’re dealing with a three-star property in Prague, you’re often rolling the dice, but this one actually delivers on its promises.

The Location Magic

Honestly, the location is what sets this place apart from other mid-range options in the city. You’re tucked away on a quieter street, but — and this is the key part — you can walk to Old Town Square in about eight minutes. I’ve stayed in places that claim to be central but then you’re schlepping for twenty minutes just to get anywhere interesting. Here, you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually get some sleep. The nearby streets have those little local cafes where you’ll see actual Prague residents having their morning coffee, not just tour groups.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully arranged — you know how some European hotels can feel cramped? This didn’t have that problem. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back (always a concern with older buildings), and the bathroom was updated without losing the character of the place. What I appreciated most was the attention to small details — decent lighting for reading, enough outlets for your devices, and windows that actually open properly for fresh air.

Daily Rhythms

Mornings here feel relaxed in a way that’s hard to find in busier parts of the city. The breakfast setup is straightforward — nothing fancy, but they do the basics well with fresh bread and good coffee. You’ll often find other couples lingering over their morning meal, planning their day without feeling rushed. The staff seems to understand that people want to ease into their Prague adventures rather than being hustled out the door. There’s also a small seating area where you can decompress in the evening, which becomes surprisingly valuable after a full day of sightseeing.

Why Guests Love It

What really works about this place is how it balances accessibility with tranquility. You’re not paying premium prices for a location that puts you right in the middle of everything, but you’re also not sacrificing convenience. The couples who rate this place highly seem to appreciate that it feels more like a thoughtful base for exploring rather than just a place to crash. It’s the kind of spot where you can have a genuine Prague experience without the tourist hotel feel — and honestly, that’s exactly what you want when you’re trying to connect with a city like this.

⭐️ “Great stay near Charles Bridge”

Excellent location, just a short walk to Charles Bridge and the Old Town.

We loved the free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby – such a nice touch. The room was great, comfortable, and had everything we needed.

What could be improved: I liked it all.

Excellent location, very clean and big room, bright, quiet at night, we loved the coffee machine, our daughter had the nesquik in the mornings and was very happy! I would definitely recommend! AC was working very well and can adjust temperature.
