Clementin Overview
You know what struck me first about Clementin? It’s tucked away on this quiet little street called Seminarska, which honestly feels like stepping into a different Prague altogether. I mean, you’re still right in the heart of everything – Old Town Square is maybe a seven-minute walk – but somehow the tourist chaos just doesn’t reach this corner. The building itself has that elegant Habsburg-era thing going on, though they’ve clearly put some serious money into updating it without killing the character.
The rooms are actually impressive for a four-star place. I was expecting that typical European “cozy” (read: tiny) situation, but these feel genuinely spacious. The bathrooms especially – whoever designed them understood that travelers need counter space for all their stuff. What I really appreciated was the attention to sound insulation; Prague’s cobblestones can get pretty noisy with all those tour groups clacking around, but once you’re inside, it’s surprisingly peaceful. The beds are proper comfortable too, not just Instagram-pretty. I’m picky about pillows and theirs passed the test.
Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really capture – you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the Wenceslas Square madness while still being walkable to everything that matters. There’s this little bakery around the corner on Hybernská that locals actually use (not a tourist trap), and the Náměstí Míru metro stop is close enough that you can easily hit up Vinohrady for dinner without dealing with the crowds. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood too, which makes a difference. When I asked about finding a decent bookstore, the guy at reception didn’t just Google it – he actually gave me walking directions to this hidden gem near the university.
The common areas have that lived-in elegance that’s hard to fake. The lobby doesn’t feel like a showroom, more like someone’s really well-appointed living room where you’d actually want to hang out with a coffee. Speaking of which, their breakfast setup is solid – not the sad continental spread you sometimes get, but proper local pastries and decent coffee. Check-in was smooth, no weird deposit holds or surprise fees, and they stored my luggage without any fuss when I arrived early.
Look, I’ll be honest – it’s not cheap, but that 9.1 rating isn’t just review inflation. This feels like what a Prague hotel should be: connected to the city’s real rhythm but insulated from its tourism overwhelm. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience Prague rather than just photograph it, Clementin gets the balance right.

I liked everything, honestly. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the room was beautiful, and the breakfast was great.
What could be improved: The only complaint I have is that the shower would be hard to get into if you had mobility issues.Rea from Albania – 15 March 2025 (10/10)
Everything!
Location is PERFECT, right in the Prague Old Town! The room was perfectly clean and had all the needed amenities, to the smallest details.
Breakfast was really good and a range of foods was included: pastries, fruits, different kind of yoghurts, etc.
What could be improved: Nothing!Rebecca from United Kingdom – 14 March 2025 (10/10)
Exceeded our expectations. The location was brilliant. The facilities and the breakfast were more than we expected. The room was spotlessly clean and everything we needed. Coffee machine was a bonus. Bathroom was spotlessly clean too.
All the staff were very helpful. Breakfast room was immaculate and the selection was superb for a small hotel.
Would highly recommendVeronica from United States – 7 March 2025 (10/10)
We love the place, the location, the breakfast was very good and well arrange, the sugar cubes make my son’s day, but most important the ladies at the reception were super helpful and kind taking care of us, offering activities, a glass of Prosecco, explaining all the services at the hotel, luggage storage, and they let us use the breakfast room in the evening before we leave, we felt very loved! Thank you very much!

The location of this hotel is excellent, the staff are friendly and very helpful, the room was a good size and I thought the bed was very comfy, a big plus after a lot walking. We had the breakfast at the hotel and the selection was great and constantly topped up. I would highly recommend this hotel, and I would certainly come back

We had a short and nice stay in the hotel. The location is excellent for old town site seeing. The breakfast was stunning, we were really surprised by the quality and quantity of food available. On entry we got invited for Prosecco glass. Room 3 was very modern and comfortable with a big double bed. The bathroom was equipped with a bath and all necessary goods. The minibar and safe was available in the room. All clean and ready to use. Many thanks!
What could be improved: The elevator was not working so less sporty people might have issues to reach the last floor.Victoria from United Kingdom – 25 February 2025 (10/10)
Superb hotel in a great location. Staff were lovely and so helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and the room was perfect. Would definitely stay here again!
