It’s tucked away on Klementova street, which might not ring a bell unless you know Prague’s Smíchov district, but that’s exactly why it works so well.

The thing about staying here is that you’re in this quiet residential pocket that feels authentically Prague, not tourist-Prague. I mean, you’ll hear the morning tram rumbling by (the 6, 9, and 12 lines are all walkable), but it’s more of a gentle city hum than actual noise. The apartments themselves have this lived-in quality that I really appreciated – think clean, modern spaces that don’t feel like sterile hotel rooms. The kitchens are actually functional too, which is refreshing when you want to grab groceries from the Billa down the street instead of eating out every meal. Check-in was surprisingly smooth, though I’d recommend confirming the exact process beforehand since it’s apartment-style rather than traditional hotel reception.

What really sold me on the location was discovering how easy it is to get around from here. Anděl metro station is maybe a ten-minute walk, and suddenly you’re connected to the entire city. But here’s what the guidebooks won’t tell you – some of Prague’s best local spots are right in this neighborhood. There’s this fantastic Vietnamese place called Pho Vietnam just around the corner that locals actually eat at, and the whole Smíchov area has been quietly transforming into something pretty special. You’ve got the riverside paths along the Vltava if you’re into morning runs or evening walks, plus you’re close enough to cross over to Kampa Island without dealing with the Old Town crowds. The grocery situation is solid too – that Billa I mentioned, plus a few smaller shops for basics. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (street parking requires those blue zone tickets), but honestly, you won’t need a car from this spot. The value here is really impressive for what you get – proper space to spread out, a kitchen that works, and you’re staying in a neighborhood where actual Czechs live and work, not just a tourist bubble.

  I loved the neatness and the cleanliness of the apartment.
  
  What could be improved: I did not like that the main building had a door that locked each time you left.
  
  I was unaware that the keys had a magnetic tag to open the door, was only made aware right before leaving the apartment.

  Apartment is spacious and clean, all equipment was on its place, view from windows are good, building is in new area.
