City Centre Overview

Look, I’ll be straight with you about City Centre – it’s one of those places where the location absolutely makes up for what it lacks in fancy touches. You’re literally on Revoluční, which means you can stumble out the front door and be at the Municipal House in about three minutes (honestly, I timed it). The Art Nouveau façade of that place will smack you in the face with its beauty, especially if you’re grabbing coffee early morning when the light hits it just right.

The hotel itself? Well, it’s solid three-star territory – nothing that’ll blow your mind, but everything works and the rooms are actually bigger than what you’d expect in this part of Prague. I mean, we’re talking about prime Old Town adjacent real estate here, so cramped shoe boxes would be the norm. The staff genuinely seems to know their stuff about getting around the city, which is refreshing after dealing with some of the tourist-trap places closer to the castle. One thing though – if you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. Revoluční can get a bit lively, especially on weekends when people are bar-hopping through the area.

What really sold me on this place is how it sits right in that sweet spot between tourist central and actual Prague life. You’ve got Wenceslas Square maybe a seven-minute walk south, but you’re also close enough to Karlín (just across the river) where locals actually hang out and eat. The tram connections from nearby are fantastic – you can get pretty much anywhere without that exhausting tourist shuffle through cobblestone streets. And honestly? For a 7.2 rating, I think people might be a bit harsh. Sure, it’s not going to compete with those boutique places charging double, but if you want to spend your money on experiences rather than thread count, City Centre does exactly what it promises. Just don’t expect anyone to turn down your bed or leave chocolates on your pillow – this is more “clean, comfortable, and perfectly located” than “pamper me senseless.”

Reviews of City Centre

  • Great value, very good breakfast for your value!!! – Mark from Canada – 11 July 2025 (8/10)

    Close to city center!

What could be improved: Young travellers a bit loud coming in and out at night, but for value would do again, even with my young kids

  • Good – Vendula from Czech Republic – 28 June 2025 (7/10)

Great location in centre at public transport. Clean room, clean bathroom, comfortable bed.

What could be improved: The option if you will get large bed or twin bed is not guaranteed even you already paid that without free cancellation.
Breakfast was more then sad experience.

  • we enjoyed our stay overall. – Mariana from Portugal – 30 May 2025 (7/10)

We really liked the fact that the shower and toilet were in separate areas — just like shown in the photos — and the hotel’s location is excellent.

What could be improved: The building layout, however, is quite confusing, and it took us a while to find our room. We were also a bit unlucky with the other guests during our stay — there were large groups making a lot of noise. One group almost completely filled the luggage room, and we barely managed to find space for our bags. That said, we really appreciated being able to leave our luggage for the day, even if the room could be larger and more secure.

The carpet in the room was not in the best condition, and please consider replacing the pillows — the ones we had were extremely thin and barely felt like pillows at all.

  • Its OK. If luxuryis not your thing and you are looking for something cheap with an excellent location, go for it. – Gonzalo from Argentina – 22 May 2025 (7/10)

It delivers. You get what you pay for.

What could be improved: For its price, nothing.

  • Very good – Zaira from United Kingdom – 9 March 2025 (8/10)

Good location. Short walk distance to amenities and transportation links. The room was cleaned every day.

  • Very good – Anna from Czech Republic – 21 February 2025 (8/10)

Comfortable bed and pillows. Small but nice new bathroom.

What could be improved: Only the windows are old so there are not as sound protected from the busy street.

  • worth to stay. – Furkan from Turkey – 28 January 2025 (8/10)

perfect location, comfortable room for this price.

What could be improved: breakfast can be better

  • Good stay near everything – Amir from Egypt – 2 January 2025 (7/10)

Location is excellent and good value for money, they upgraded us to a quadruple room instead of my booked triple room

What could be improved: Breakfast was basic , staff wasn’t welcoming and cold maybe because they worked on Christmas

  • Very good – Doron from Israel – 22 December 2024 (8/10)

    Excellent location

What could be improved: Small bathroom, old infrastructure

  • Great location , great rooms. Easy check in and great shower – Sophie from United Kingdom – 19 December 2024 (8/10)

    Cody rooms and great shower

What could be improved: It was really hot! Even when the radiators were off. Middle of December aswell
