Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about City Castle Aparthotel? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street called Eliášova, and honestly, you’d walk right past it if you weren’t looking. But that’s actually part of its charm – it feels more like staying in a local neighborhood than some tourist bubble. The building itself has this understated elegance, nothing flashy, just solid and well-maintained in that distinctly Central European way. When I checked in, the staff actually remembered my name from the booking confirmation, which was a nice touch that bigger hotels often miss.
The aparthotel setup is brilliant if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights. I mean, having a proper kitchenette changes everything – you can grab fresh bread from the bakery around the corner (there’s this fantastic one about two blocks down) and actually make yourself coffee the way you like it. The rooms are spacious by Prague standards, and the beds are genuinely comfortable – not that firm-as-a-rock situation you sometimes get in European hotels. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Eliášova isn’t a main thoroughfare, so you’re not dealing with trams rattling past at 6 AM or drunk tourists stumbling home. The neighborhood has this authentic residential vibe where you’ll see locals walking their dogs and kids heading to school, which gives you a real feel for how Prague actually lives.
Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without being in the thick of the madness. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Old Town Square – totally doable and actually pleasant since you pass through some lovely quieter streets. The nearest metro station is Anděl, which connects you to pretty much everywhere you’d want to go. And here’s something the booking sites don’t tell you: there’s street parking available if you’re brave enough to drive in Prague, though honestly, you won’t need a car. The rating of 8.7 feels spot-on to me – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises with genuine care. For the price point, especially considering you get apartment-style amenities in a city where hotel rooms can cost a fortune, it’s actually remarkable value. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between authentic local experience and tourist convenience, this place gets it right.

The apartment is located in a beautiful neighborhood in Prague, with a secure parking lot and a metro station just nearby. It's spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you might need while traveling. There are also bistros, pubs, and shops within walking distance. A great place to stay!

Very well equipped apartment. It was clean and tidy and the neighbourhood has a lot of restaurants options around. Close to train and easy to get to city Center.
What could be improved: NAExceptional – Manuela from Colombia – 26 May 2025 (10/10)
The location is ideal, away from the more tourist-heavy areas, but a 10-minute tram or metro ride to the center.
There are great restaurants in the neighborhood as well.
What could be improved: Everything was fineExceptional – Ryan from Australia – 26 May 2025 (10/10)
Clean rooms, spacious and close to the train/tram stations, and also walking distance to the city centre. Plenty of choice in terms of food/grocers close by.
Clear self check-in and self checkout instructions.
What could be improved: No lift – so if you have heavy bags and are not on the ground floor it can be quite an effort.Superb – Hasan from Germany – 5 May 2025 (9/10)

Self check-in and check-out might seem complicated at first, but the instructions were very detailed, and everything was extremely easy to understand on the spot.
This time, although we had a late check-in, all the benefits of our apartment (we stayed in Apt. 16) more than made up for it!
As experienced travelers, we can honestly say — we have never stayed somewhere so nice, spacious, and fully equipped!
Fresh renovation, spotless cleanliness, fresh linens and towels, all the necessary cleaning and toiletry supplies, cozy atmosphere, fully stocked kitchen utensils (more than enough!), and fast Wi-Fi made our stay absolutely perfect!
The iron, ironing board, washing machine, and drying rack were also very welcome additions to the apartment’s equipment.
All windows had blackout curtains, every room had air conditioning, and there was a wonderful big balcony with a table, chairs, and a nice side view of the city — all of this made it even more comfortable and enjoyable!
The metro and tram stops are just two minutes away, and you can easily walk to Prague Castle while enjoying a lovely stroll through the city.
It was so cozy that we honestly wished we could extend our vacation!
Huge thanks to Petr and the team at the aparthotel for making our stay incredibly pleasant! ❤️
What could be improved: Parking right under the building is expensive, and free street parking (purple zone) is only available on weekends and public holidays.
Paid parking is available within walking distance, but it’s not cheap either.
We left our car at P+R Kotlářka (50 CZK for the first 24 hours; after that, you pay 10 CZK/hour if you don't leave) for a few days and traveled around the city by public transport — super convenient and inexpensive!
The absence of an elevator could be a challenge if you have a lot of luggage or a stroller. (Young and fit people will manage 3rd and 4th floors easily; small kids — a bit harder; older people — it might be difficult.)
We couldn't figure out how to use the TV.
Not enough electrical outlets.Good location, easy to access, clean, easy for kids also. – Joonas from Finland – 27 April 2025 (10/10)
The location was perfect. Various restaurants and pubs (if you want those) close by. Tram or metro close by and the castle area starts really close and the best way to reach the castle is anyway through the Letná area, especially if you go there for the first time. Instructions were easy to follow. Everything was smooth. Even the beds were comfortable.
A fab place for stay for families wanting to explore Prague – Alan from United Kingdom – 21 April 2025 (9/10)
This apartment was very well equipped and in a perfect location for exploring the city using the tram and metro.
What could be improved: Some of the crockery and cutlery wasn’t as clean as we had hoped and the sound proofing could have been better. We loved our stay overall though!
