Hotel Description
So I stumbled upon Císařka Apartments while hunting for something different in Prague – you know, tired of the same old hotel chains in Wenceslas Square. Honestly? Best accidental discovery I made that trip. This place sits on Pod Císařkou street, which sounds fancy but it’s actually this quiet residential area that feels completely removed from the tourist chaos, even though you’re still technically in the city center.
The apartments themselves are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” – not trying to be some Instagram-worthy boutique property, but everything just works. The 3-star rating is pretty accurate, though I’d argue the 7.8 guest score undersells it a bit. Maybe people expect more bells and whistles, but honestly, sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable space where you can actually spread out your stuff. The kitchenettes are tiny but functional (I managed to make decent coffee every morning, which is all I really needed), and the wifi actually worked throughout the apartment – something you can’t always count on in these older Prague buildings.
What really sold me on this place was the neighborhood vibe. You’re walking distance from Petřin Hill, which most tourists completely miss despite it having some of the best views in the city. I mean, everyone climbs up to Prague Castle, but if you head up Petřin instead – especially around sunset – you get these incredible panoramic shots without fighting through crowds. The apartments are also surprisingly well-connected by tram; there’s a stop just a few minutes’ walk away that gets you to Old Town in about 15 minutes. Parking was actually manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in Prague will tell you is basically a miracle.
I stayed during shoulder season in October, and the area was perfectly quiet at night – no street noise, no drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward; none of that awkward small talk at a front desk, just clear instructions and keys that actually worked on the first try. One tiny thing – the shower pressure could be better, but that’s pretty standard for older European buildings, and the hot water was consistent. You know what really impressed me though? The little touches, like having actual hangers in the closet (not those weird hotel ones) and enough counter space in the bathroom to actually put your toiletries somewhere logical. It’s those small details that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere real, not just passing through another generic room.
Hotels in Prague offer guests the perfect blend of Gothic grandeur and modern comfort, with many featuring traditional Czech beer concierge services and medieval architecture to enhance the authentic Central European cultural experience.

Very good – Dyan from Philippines – 30 May 2025 (8/10)
Property is clean and space is huge for four adults. Quiet neighborhood. It is complete with amenities and clear communication with the hosts.
What could be improved: It is in 4th floor without lift. I don’t know if it was written somewhere but I was not aware and I felt bad for my parents to go through the stairs.Superb – Nikolay from Czech Republic – 15 April 2025 (9/10)
Garden is big + when is warm
Superb – Yurii from Ukraine – 17 December 2024 (9/10)
The room was fine overall, with a great location and warm during the winter. There is a bus stop nearby, which is very convenient. A big plus is the availability of free parking for the car. We didn’t use the garden, so I can’t comment on that.
What could be improved: As a suggestion, it would be nice to have shower gel provided.Superb – Suryakant from India – 13 September 2024 (9/10)

Really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again – Marie from United States – 25 July 2024 (9/10)
Good quiet location, about 150 ft {45 m} to a bus stop. Parking is right behind the corner. We stayed in an apartment no.2, it is roomy with a lot of windows. The kitchen has a basic equipment, the refrigerator has a BIG! freezer and there is a washing machine in the bathroom. The property has cozy back yard with a grill, garden chairs and swimming pool. Easy contactless check in and out. Just a perfect stay that make you feel almost home.
